Not pounding the ball on the last drive of the 4th - and then kicking- if even needed- is unforgivable.
Time for him to go.
Time for him to go.

Great minds.
Said the exact same thing in other thread.
No touches for Burden. Yada.
Drink can't scheme. He can recruit but has no idea what he's doing on offense.

The guy couldn’t call the right play to get himself out of a wet paper bag.

He’s a terrible coach.

Easy to blame the coach when the players don't execute.
Fact is, Mevis missed a 26 yard field goal to win.
Peat dropped the ball at the 1/2 yard line.
Players didn't make plays.

Mevis got a lil cocky. No warm-up kicks on the sidelines.. He was like, sunny, warm and short kick - 100% Im putting this through the uprights.
That was a bad look for him man.

The weapons are there. This should be a good team. Defense is playing well enough, there is speed in the WR room and a very experienced possession receiver. Seems that our Har dcharging running backs the last few tears have masked our coaches ineptitude at offensive play calling.
What's sad is he just played his mentor, who is doing a terrible job at Auburn.

Yep. You have the ball on the three, two timeouts if I recall and four downs. You run the fricking ball for the TD and the win.
I will die on that hill.

Yep, just bad in-game coaching with bad player development.

It shouldn’t have been close at the end of the game.
We should’ve put this game away in the third quarter. The fact that we didn’t is on Drink. Not the players.

Haha yes. Blame the players.
Here is a good example: blame Burden for being on the sideline and not on the field.
Your take is total dog shite. And Cook is not the guy- that is on Drink as well. Macon and Horn should be seeing the field at this point.

all of that could have been avoided with a better coaching decision. Drink failed them.

what? are we watching the same games? Our WRs are terrible. None of them, even burden, have a damn clue how to run clean routes and get open consistently.

WTF??? At this level, you're only wide open if the defense makes a mistake. The WR room has speed, a mix of experience and young talent. You have to scheme your plays, get the match ups you want that favor you, find the weakness on defense. Simply running Burden on fly routes, isn't using his talent. Drink was known for having an offense with lots of motion to get favorable matchups. Where has that gone?

It doesn’t make sense. I don’t understand what’s happening with them.

Kicking the field goal was the right call. If you want to be mad then be mad at our fat kicker for missing a 26 yard field goal

It never should have come to that. Timid, cowardly play calling in a game where you have nothing to lose is what infuriates me. The whole damn game.

Except that’s not true.
Why do people constantly complain about play calling? You do realize that the guy calling plays knows infinitely more than you, right? Yet it’s constant. So weird

Drink has not proved he knows more than the average fan. In fact, any coach who does not make use of his 5 star talent ... could be called incompetent when it comes to coaching.

Dear god
This is the most perfect illustration ever of why people bitching about play calling should never be taken seriously
