2 year extension. Hopefully it doesn’t turn out the same way as Odom.

Curious why he was extended with 2 year left. Surely no one was beating down the door to sign him away.

Wonder if Le Frog made a deal for an off season OC hire?

In other news, MU announced Barry Odom is never, ever, ever coming back.

Premature. He's not on the "most wanted list" for other schools.

if he's a winner next year, then bump him bigtime.

Seems a little premature. Is this intended to lineup up with Baker or do we have Eli thru 2027.

I know everyone thinks this is premature but recruiting is far more important than Xs and Os in college football and this sends stability. Drink NEEDS to hire an OC after this year and it also sends a message to any potential candidate that Drink is on solid ground. But absolutely need to start seeing improvement in the win/loss record.

I would held on to that extension until after an OC signed a contract.

The idea that coaches need to be on long term contracts to recruit is a PsyOp by Jimmy Sexton and his goons. With NIL and the transfer portal, coaching stability is pretty low on the list of things recruits care about

If it didn't lower his buyout, then EVERYONE in AD offices needs to be fired.

nothing wrong with 2 year extensions, as long as the parachute of cheap buyout is there.

He has little leverage, he's not doing a good job.

This extension ONLY makes sense if for recruiting purposes. If there's a nickel more $ and/or increased buyout $...totally stupid. I expect stupidity from the BOC down and throughout the AD regarding sports. Show me some brilliance and SEC level leadership please...EVEN F**KING ONCE. There's some more LONG TERM losing history for ya. Jimmy Sexton owns these L-T losers at every turn. He has my admiration and I'll give Drinkwitz credit for hiring him. And if you think that the Sexton/Drinkwitz team give a rip about the Mizzou program...you are a certified fool.

Drink is so close guys. Between, Mevis, Wood and Peat they have robbed us of a really good season.

I do 100% believe we need an OC, preferably a guy who has developed a young QB. But I believe Drink can be the answer. To me, he is Pinkel with better recruiting.

I was thinking he’s a smarter and more charismatic Nick Saban

100%. We may be 4-5 but we are very close to being 8-1. After seeing the tape on how uga beat tenner last weekend, maybe we win the next 3. Doubtful, but not impossible.

I have a lot of optimism for the future.

Pinkel emphasized tried and true fundamentals. The defense has much better tackling this year, but still has head-slapping bad attempts at tackling.
I don't see many fundamentals on our offense that have been instilled. Lovett and Dove seem to do everything right, when I'm watching them.

Truth be told, we don't know what Pinkel emphasized, we have an idea of what his assistants emphasized. We don't know his offensive or defensive philosophy. Just like we don't know Bowdens, Osborne, or Paterno's. The good coaches hire good assistants and they stay loyal. If Drink gets a good OC that he can work with, this program takes off. Hell, even with the inept offense this year, we're 5 plays away from a top 10 ranking.
