Yes. I want to see us play those bastards every year. It had devolved into pure hate. Perfect hate. Delicious hate. Passed on from one generation to the next - HATE! What could be more fun?

No.
beakers derive significance from us having a rivalry. I used to want it, but I think it's very important in football to develop a real rivalry. Here we are two years into the SEC and we haven't played Arkansas once, who I think could be that rival in both sports and perhaps baseball and other sports as well.
Living in the KC area we get incessant kU attention and their fans are often beyond obnoxious with little actual knowledge. I want their energy to die for lack of fuel. Basketball and their dependence to the Bevo 12 is all they have. The more we ignore them the more their Athletics cease to have meaning on a national level, and I'm great with that.

Besides, playing them in football would really hurt our strength of schedule.
Great answer

If I never hear the word kansas again, it will make me happy

Yes, have a Border War Weekend in KC where Friday night you have a basketball game in the Sprint followed by the Saturday football game in Arrowhead.

Don't care for the football games. I'd rather Mizzou play Illinois in Football. But LOVE the KU vs Mizzou basketball games. Can remember watching those games on ESPN's "Big Monday" or whatever it was called. I can remember the SEC ESPN bball games use to be called "Super Tuesday".

We need to have some pride here folks. Self has repeatedly said he will not play Mizzou, and the flock fell right in line with him. So frick 'em, let's move on and leave them in our dust, where they belong. If we need a rival, there is one south of our border where that itch can be scratched without near the hatred and ugliness, atleast in the near future.

When they come back on bended knee and beg, beg, beg.
Maybe.
Maybe.

Seems like most of us feel the same way. At first I was hoping the rivalry would continue, but who would have thought I'd now be thanking Coach Self for ordering the KU administration to desist from scheduling the Tigers. Otherwise, we'd still be stuck in that mess - and who doesn't appreciate how nice it has been to have the break! It would be great to see more Mizzou events in the KC area though - but would rather they not involve the other KU.

College sports is based in rivalry and tradition, and as much as both schools would like to deny it, part of our DNA is made of that rivalry. It is a part of who we are. As much as I hate 'em having a win against them, regardless of sport was wonderful.
That said, they are the reason it died, so it's on them to being it back.

Absolutely not. Unless we can restart the rivalry by burning Lawrence down again. There are plenty of other cupcakes we can schedule as an automatic W every year.
Would like to see the NU/MU came at Camarohead become a reality though. That would be awesome on so many levels, especially to remind k-who that we escaped and they are forever trapped.

This may be true (hell I come from the old school traditionalist side) but I have yet to see any bad effects from canceling this rivalry. On the other hand, I see much more positive results joining the SEC than anything playing ku could bring.

Truly never think of them at all until someone else brings them up. I'll stick with I'd rather play the Nubs than kU.

I did when we first left the Big Dysfunctional, and Rivalry week doesn't seem right without playing the hated blue chickens, but I agree with most on here that time wounds all heels and the cartoon birds can all go FOADIAF. We have moved on.

My solution is to schedule a yearly neutral site game with Nebraska at Arrowhead.
