I would love Charlie but, again, too much $ and likely gone in a year.

The 4-2-5 would need to be able to get consistent pressure to the QB with a 4 man front. It wouldn't have worked this year that's for sure.

I'm pretty sure it's main weakness is the RPO, so that could be an issue also.

I mean, we essentially run a 4-2-5 now...just with one end standing up

Mack Brown has NC on lock down. We won’t be making much headway there in regards to 4+ star athletes.

They have ten 4 star kids in their 2021 from NC.

Two high 3 star kids from SC.

And 3 high 3 star kids from NC.

Drink won’t be winning any of those battles.

Are you really supporting Mac Brown and North Carolina? Your new North Carolina logo is showing your true team so far!

I love to talk recruiting, as long as it's about the strategy, as I don't get worked up over the decisions individual 17 year old's make.

I hope we fully engage recruiting throughout the south and midwest. Texas has provided so much of the last 20 years we should make sure we keep a presence. We also shouldn't waste our presence in the East Division and the games we will play there.

National Brand That is what Mizzou is trying to become! Not a bad idea! Need to expand and there is a coach on staff that came from TCU and he knows Texas. But need to have others who knows other schools in NC/SC areas. Then there is Florida/Georgia/Tennessee and elsewhere.

Just curious if any of the "connected' people are hearing any rumors as to who Drink is looking at for DC.

The few I know haven't heard a peep.

I'd call it a hybrid Nickel with Manuel playing a in between WLB/SS position.

ETA: the WLB/SS and not having a true NT is what makes me hesitant to call is a straight 4-2-5 (even if that is definition of a Nickel from an alignment standpoint)

No one in the AD will speak one word with the STL/KC Press box superfriends. Anything they say will be what they make up. (Like last time)

Drinkwitz might be waiting out for LSU and anyone else that are still looking for a DC. South Carolina just hired WKU DC. LSU is still looking. Let them get one first so Mizzou can get the next one without dealing with LSU.

I'm hoping they are just working out details with Stagg. I hope Walters didn't really blindside Drink.

Agree lol.. I thought we would have heard something by now..

Reeves, Staggs, etc.. There's several good options still out there.

Just hoping it's not another MIZZZOU type of a inside hire and we end up with Gibbs.

Maybe it’s a relatively high end hire that requires a lot of contract work. Hope can hope.
