Listen to AR sports radio down here in SW MO, because it is the only station that even talks about SEC. No MU coverage (Sighhhhh).
One of Gabe's counterparts from Hogs Illustrated? was on discussing Pittman and Sexton got brought up as having an affect on their search.
Shared that he had talked to Sexton while covering an earlier AR coach search. "Felt dirty" after the call, said Sexton shared "a lot" about how the behind the scenes really works in these searches.
Being confident he had been given a bunch of BS that he would not be able to confirm, he did not use anything Sexton had shared with him and has never tried to talk to him since.
He also shared several coaches don't especially like Sexton, but feel they have to hire him to have a shot at jobs they actually want down the road.
Sounds very much like Sterk has a similar opinion of Sexton.

Anderson has done a fine job at Arkansas State, Holtz is pretty decent, and I like Monken... but I wouldn't take any of them to run an SEC program. And I just got finished with two years of Chad Morris.

I believe you are right. Sterk sounded like he already had his target at his post odom press conference. He talked like it would take a week or two to finalize everything with his target, not to find the target.
All the leaks before Drinkwitz had a type of bitter, fake and manufactured feel to them. When the leak of Drinkwitz happened, I knew immediately it was likely true.

I agree notsince. It seems like especially once they were wrong once, the pundits just kept piling on. Hell, Bernie was still spouting their BS to make it sound like the supposed journalists were right in being wrong. To defend them, of all things, he used his prediction of Painter being a done deal.
