You said it would happen this weekend, and you were right.

808 is 100% more reliable than the people that are getting paid to cover this stuff. He's not overstating things in order to get clicks. Maybe he should.

If you think a university is making a hire based on 2 days of research, you’re welcome to that opinion.

It seems obvious that Drink was part of the search from before Thursday. Keep believing Karraker had information.

Yeah, I really didn’t want Holtz or Monken. And Anderson was just slightly higher on the list in my eyes.

If you believe Drink was sealed before Thursday good luck to you.

This stuff is never broken by the media, but no I don’t believe Drink was secured when bass made the post.

I do believe that Sterk had a handshake agreement with Anderson at that time though.

Doesn’t make him wrong. Things change, and thankfully they did

Why do people keep referencing a meeting that Sunvold says never took place?

I'm not sure what "list" Sterk was working with, but I'd bet by Thursday he was down to one guy, and the lawyers and agents took over from there. Karraker had nothing, and everyone else was quoting him. Sexton played games like always and the goobers in the Lou bought it.

And I'll bet the P-D was in the can before the official announcement.

And yet Sterk still managed to meet the timeline I said existed in the middle of the week. Almost like the process wasn’t running like Karraker and DeArmond said.

It doesn’t really matter. This headline of this post is a misnomer. Everything I know is third hand. It pays to know people who know people.

Not necessarily. I am, however, 99% sure that the top three candidates on Thursday were not Anderson, Holtz or Monken. I do believe Anderson was strongly considered. And then Sexton leaked two other names that were below him to pump his name up as an available coach being considered by P5 teams. I do not think Anderson was ever offered the job.

Do we know who Drinkwitz's agent is? I suspect Sexton was someone Sterk wanted to avoid.
