Eh. We had some people on the board dancing right up to accusations of racism for anyone who wasn't down with the cause. I don't fault anyone who has a little bit of sour taste in their mouths. I have a little still.
Hey, I "danced right up" and I was also duped like many others with misinformation and it was not my first initial instict or thought process either, but I don't need it shoved in my face everytime someones post comes close to the subject either.
This board was much better when nonsports related crap was left off the board.

If someone doesn't want to continually bring up the subject, I don't have a problem with them. You're good in my book.
And sports and politics will be inseparable. Especially when the team decides to use their platform to broadcast a political message. I expect that their inextricable linkage will be far less in the future for Mizzou.

mubobby says Hill will coach WR and an emphasis for the OC job will be a QB background.

If true, Odom already has more of a brain than Pinkel.

What we know so far
HC Barry Odom
OC

OL
WR Andy Hill
QB
DL
LB
CB Cornell Ford
S Ryan Walters
S&C
How about adding (assumed) Assigned Recruiting Area behind each coach?
As an aside... look at the excitement of this recruit on Signing Day.

There are still several big prospects available for Mizzou recruit.
Like the kid from Lawrence.

We could really use a few OL prospects, a 6' 200lb rb, and a QB
Posted on 12/5/15 at 6:58 pm to surgicalvenom
Well there are 2 6' 200 lb RBs that redshirted this year.
Also Strong is the #2 rated JUCO RB and he has that size. Anderson the RB from Texas is also really highly thought of.
Abbington if he stays is that size as well.
And Odom is planning on really pushing hard for Bryant.
This will be the biggest set of RBs Mizzou has had in over a decade.

OK lets get Huepel in the fold and get a QB. Micah Wilson in Oklahoma maybe?
Posted on 12/5/15 at 7:25 pm to surgicalvenom
Hueppel seems to do pretty well at recruiting QBs, but hasn't been much of a recruiter of any other position players.
Big mistake not to at least try getting Thompson. Fort Osage was a 1 man show in the title game.

I thought we wanted Bryant at CB?
Strong and Abbington can both play at 220 or better. Doherty could also play close to that.
Hell, with as lanky as Abbington is he could carry 230 pretty easily.

If we hire Heupel, will he coach QBs? Or will we also hire a QB coach? Any ideas there?
I'm wondering if Chase is still wanting to play or if he's ready to coach...

I had that same thought. Mentioned it in one of the threads somewhere.

Heupel is a QB guy, he made Sam Bradford look like a decent QB
Posted on 12/5/15 at 7:31 pm to TigerCruise
Wikipedia already has him as the OC
Title Assistant Head Coach,
Offensive Coordinator,
Quarterbacks Coach
Team Missouri Tigers
