Chase stands at 6 feet tall and is told he is too short to ever start in the NFL. He is 26 and has never started but in college seemed to be as much if not more talented than Russell Wilson.

Now keep that in mind now Russell stands at 5'11 and gets to start at age 24? I don't really understand why chase has never had a chance to start anywhere (i know New Orleans would not have been the place) but not even another destination in the past few years (cleveland, miami, buffalo, the jets, tennessee, and now kc) IMO it has been proven if you possess the skill set you do not have to be taller than 6 feet tall to be a qb in the league just look at brees and now Wilson. Maybe this year chase gets a shot?
Sorry for the rant but it blows my mind

If he's ever going to get a shot it's in his current location. Hope for Alex Smith's downfall.

Well smith has not been the most reliable qb so we have that to look forward to.

I just look at both Chase and Russell's college careers and Chase just seems more talented. Granted I guess I could be a bit biased but he posessed such great talent and such composure (that cotton bowl comeback) and has never had any off field issues idk why anyone wouldn't take the chance even for a year. To me he has proven himself and deserves a shot.

And I'll flip it around too. Just because you are well over 6 feet tall and have a cannon for an arm, doesn't mean you'll be a good QB in the NFL. See Gabbert.

truth. Although Gabbert has been given a shot he does not necessarily have the best supporting cast besides MJD.

Russel Wilson is much more athletic and has a much stronger arm than Daniel. Wilson can play in a vertical stretch offense. Daniel is better suited where he is at in a short west coast with occasional deep threat offense.

This. I love chase just like every other Mizzou fan. But chase is more of a timing and touch thrower than a qb who can split coverage with a fastball. Wilson has the fastball arm. And the accuracy to go with it.

Welcome frodaddy

I still think chase has what it takes I just hope he has a shot. He deserves a chance, that much I think we all can agree on that

Ever since KC picked up Chase an Smith I've been saying Chase would earn that starting spot before the end of the year.

Apparently though KC is very high on Smith, not sure how much of that is coach speak though. Chase didn't seem to help his stock in the first preseason game though. Really was hoping he'd come out and absolutely shine, but no luck in game 1.
