Please let me know what you think from this expert Carl Reed have to say about Mizzou to finish 2nd in the SEC East division this year. Go check the video from CBS sports. I post the link below.

Would love to be wrong but no way. QB is still a big concern for me…6 wins is the goal.

Did you click on the link? It is something because Drinkwitz is an odd one to figured out. Blake Baker resume is pretty good. The quarterback situation could turn out to be very good. Why did Reed say about his boldest prediction? I do see the defense should be lights years better. Whoever becomes the quarterback should be good enough to win some games as an underdog.

I came to this thread hoping to get some information on this year's gridiron team. I've been busy this summer and haven't been keeping up.

Damned if I'm not more confused now than I was previously.

I believe the coaching is a bigger concern tbh.

It is right in front of you where the Mizzou logo is at. You got to wait until the video starts and after the commercial.

8 wins will be a rip-roaring success.
6 wins is fine with another year of recruiting success and some signs of life.

Also, an offense that doesn’t look like the retarded love child of Gus Malzahn and Bob Stull.

Why? Drinkwitz finally found a reasonable DC and did address to get a coach to help work with the quarterback. He is now backing off on some control on offense. This should be a much-improved defense and offense.

Jack Abraham, Brady Cook, Tyler Macon, and 4 returning Offensive Lineman should be a big upgrade from last year. Abraham has started 24 games and in 2018 led the nation in completion percentage.

Jack Abraham’s numbers at Southern Miss look pretty good. He threw for over 7000 yards and 41 TD’s. He also has experience against SEC teams. He has started games at #2 Alabama, #10 Auburn, and Miss St.

If Abraham is a big game changer 8 to 9 wins. Realistic 7 to 8 wins

My not so bold prediction is that I will enjoy watching this year's team much more than last year's team. I guess that's what matters most.

Do not forget this is one is fact. The new DC has been coaching defense for at least 10 years and the previous one zero years at the college level. He was at the NFL all that time. At the NFL level you basically do not teach fundamental to the players and other issues. Plus, College teams are very different than at the NFL level. One LSU fan said Drinkwitz got a good one. That was for the LB position. Then magically he was promoted to DC after the DC got back into the NFL. That was a huge for Drinkwitz and for the defensive players.
Also, I did check the DC's coaching history, I saw that he was the DC at Miami and Manny Diaz was the HC. After one year he then took away his play calling duties. The following year he went to LSU as a LB coach. Then after the season Miami fired Manny Diaz. I did see that one Miami fan said he sucks as a DC. I don't agree because the HC wasn't very good and that starts with the HC. Manny Diaz is now the new DC at PSU, I think. He is a pretty good DC but being a HC like Barry Odom didn't go very well. Also failed to recruit top talents at Miami hurt him and the DC. That is why I have more confident with the new DC. Drinkwitz is making the right hire at the DC this time. Don't forget Odom had all the time to get things do right and he wasn't able to get it done in 5 years. Now Drinkwitz is ahead with recruiting better players and getting the team to make the push to make it to the next level. I am seeing the progress what Driniwitz has done so far. Yes, he did make some bad hires, but he is making it up for it by getting better hires and learning from his mistakes. Odom couldn't overcome his mistakes and failed to get better talents.

The problem with this upcoming season to me is as much improved as we should be, our schedule is also that much harder.

Last year was so painful even if the schedule will be harder, I will enjoy it more.

Badie was the only legitimate FBS level player on the whole team and I almost felt sorry for him.

Much harder to beat teams that shouldn't be a problem. If you actually watch the games last year it was really not good. This year should be much much better. Not a little bit better. That is what you are missing the point. Drinkwitz did get some OLs, DLs and other position players to help make the difference this year from last year. That is why Drinkwitz has made some changes and it will only get better from now on. He isn't going to be like Barry Odom who couldn't make key changes or get lost when he should be improving the team W-L total the following year. Drinkwitz will get at least 1 more win than last year. I believe at least 2 more wins from last year wins of 6.

That was never said. I agree on how much we improved, I also think the schedule is that much harder.

Our schedule against the east is a tad bit harder next season than last. Our West schedule is also a little harder. Our OOC if equal, but we have a harder game against KSU then we did against BC.

Are you questioning the tougher schedule as a problem for Drinkwitz to overcome those tougher schedules and would likely to lose those games than to win them? Drinkwitz will not back down to people who don't believe in him going to do well this year in a much tougher schedule.
