Curt Lewis officially signed today. He shot 48% from 3 this year. I didn’t know he was that good of a shooter

quote:

"An elite shot maker on the perimeter, Curt is coming off a highly-successful season where he led his junior college to its first national championship," said Whitten Family Men's Basketball Head Coach Dennis Gates. "As the nation's top junior college player, he made more than 48 percent of his 3-pointers and showed a great ability to share the ball. He is a champion in the classroom, on the court and in the community and we're excited for him to bring that championship mindset to our program."

Nothing jumps off the page with this signing. He averaged 6.1 pts and 20 minutes a game. He seems like a backup guard and we have plenty of them.

We would’ve been ecstatic to have him two years ago.

Welcome, Tamar.

Indiana fans rave about his potential.

First time I’ve seen us grab a P5 transfer and the other fanbase had all positive things to say about him. I’m excited to have him.

Interesting addition. Could be a nice role player but not exactly the type of big man we were expecting from the portal. He does seem to be a good passer from his film

Jesus Carralero could be who Gates signs instead of a center. Not a lot of talented big guys left. Surprised more haven’t entered the portal.

Multi-talented frontcourt player… 23 career double-figure scoring games… Third-most experienced player among returning Camels with 73 career games played… Only Big South player in ’21-22 to rank among league’s top 10 in rebounding, assists, steals and blocks

I heard a rumor he’s not on scholarship. Just in passing. TIFWIW.

LOVE JBJ, one of my favorite college players in a long time. He's great - when he plays. 18-20 range is what to expect from him. big ole body that no one can move out of the way

With Gates continuing to add players who is not coming back? Is there a limit on how many players can be on team if they don't dress for games?

I think 15 is the limit for the roster.

There’s a soft limit. Brown and Mosley can pay their way. That’s what the big boys are doing for spots

there are roughly 15 spots to worry about: 13 scholarship players and a pair of “walk ons” that also receive NIL funds.

For its part, the NCAA put any limits on the number of players you can have on your roster during the season. All it says is you cannot have more than 15 players suited up when the game tips.
