Free Throws were glaring.

I’d imagine Blake got a strong lesson going forward. Can’t do that against elite teams.

Crowd sounded hype, color me enthusiastic for this season.

I’m sure the rest of the SEC took notice.

Anyone watching the game today? by wubilli If Harris doesn’t improve his foul shooting he won’t play in late game situations. We might be better with Robertson playing PG. It’s only an exhibition game, so maybe it was just an off shooting day for Harris.

It also looks like he hit his head on that last foul. Looked a bit shaky at the line.

Tilmon and Harris 1-8 on FTs. Everyone else 10-12.

Tilmon and Harris are both legit. We can go 4 Frosh on the court and be very good. Top 15 team....

All I could think is wait until this team gels and really starts playing together. There were flashes of it here and there. The 2 minute scoring drought cost them the game. Had they been to put a few buckets in, they would have won. They are a big physical team that can run the floor and an actual shooting threat. When they really get the feel for each other watch out.

Will be break the record for 3's this season ha? 6 of first 8 can shoot the 3.

My takeaways:

Phillips needs to be better. simple as that.

Blake is fast as hell.

MPJ can score from anywhere, and its frightening.

Jontay will be a beast on defense and really spreads the floor well

Tilmon may be of the best FR mizzou has ever had.

Robertson is fun love him

CVL is still slow and cant play D, but his 3pt% should be higher than last year

small sample size from CJ but that he had was a beaut.

This team was legit. cant believe after the game last night Kenpom rankings were released and had mizzou at a cool 81st right behind your powerhouses CoC and vermont.

Phillips will need to adjust to the new role.

I think he’ll be fine once he figures it out.

Kenpom is heavily weighted to already known statistics. Ignore it until January at least. The eye test says we have a chance to be special.

I actually thought the role Phillips had was perfect for him. Play about 20 minutes and get 5-6 assists should be a regular stat line for him. He also took a couple spot up 3’s.

Looking at the schedule, Iowa State is a tough game to start but outside of that, Utah and UCF look to be the only challenges and it really feels like this team should start at least 8-2.

The role he played was fine. He didn’t play it well. He looked like he was pressing to make something happen in limited minutes.

To that point, pressing shouldn't be a concern for him. There will be open teammates who can finish. Stay in the pocket, be patient and pass crisply. It's a point guard's amusement park.

You must have different expectations for a backup PG. if kansas is an average game for him I would take it. 5 assists, 2 turnovers, 4 fouls and 50% on spotup 3’s.

I was impressed. New coach; & Mizzou's starting lineup of 3 freshmen, 1 transfer, and one existing roster player played nose to nose with one of the top programs in the country. A cold spell in the 2nd half was the difference.

*Kansas- 5th
*Wisconsin- 31st
Iowa state- 34th
Utah- 58th
UCF- 60th

It will take about 10 games before KenPom is accurate.
ISU for example was picked 9th or 10th in the big Texas League. They lost a really good senior class.
