Not the case there are good options. If the hire is made with the idea that the OC will be here more than 1 season. Then we will either see the new OC given a great contract, or a risky/unproven hire like JJ.

A good part of the offense from this season will still be around in 2019 after Lock.
3 of 5 OL starters
2 of the top 3 RB’s
The top TE
2 of the top 4 WR’s

A good hire at OC can build off of that.

I mean, unless they got a HC offer why would they not want to stick around?

Any word on who the OC will actually be?

Stuff should start shaking out pretty soon. Not sure how much movement is left.

I'm still waiting on BO to call me. The only reason I didn't take the TN HC job is bc I expected BO to offer me the OC job.

BO, if you're listening call me ASAP!!

Inside/outside zone, shallow crosses, and smash. There is the bulk of Fisch's calling.

Meh.

I’m starting to think it will be Dan Werner who is an analyst with Bama and worked under Freeze. Maybe that’s why it’s taking so long, maybe won’t be announced until after championship game.

Gabe D said it's down to five candidates, but you have to be a powermizzou member to see the names.

Anyone know?

Looks like Canada is splitting with LSU.

I'd REALLY like that hire. He runs a unique style. He wasn't able to run his offense at LSU

South Carolina: Sources tell FootballScoop Alabama offensive analyst Dan Werner will be new quarterbacks coach for Will Muschamp & Bryan McClendon at South Carolina. The long-time Ole Miss assistant and former OC at Miami spent just this one season at Alabama.

We can scratch his name off the list.

Werner and Fisch are very similar in their play calling especially their run game deployment.

This doesn't bother me.

The rest of the SEC teams are filling in their staff just fine.

Would be nice to hear something soon.

We don’t have a guy yet.
I’m resigning myself to Joe Jon and letting this just play out.

Didn't want Werner anyway, and apparently neither did BO.

I want nothing to do with any ballerina ball Freeze connection. We need to be able to run the ball. That scheme has never done that effectively.
