Hall was a 4.4 40 guy as a recruit. He also has a 6'8" high jump on his resume along with a state championship in that event. He has proven he can separate vs the deepest pool of secondary talent in the nation.
Ofodile was allegedly a 4.5. He went to the same Nike event as Hall in the spring of 2014 and got locked up by every elite CB he lined up against. It was the last scouting event he ever went to. Injuries or not, they aren't comparable athletes.

How in the hell do you remember all this?

In terms of Ofodile's HS career, I lived in Columbia at the time and watched almost every game he played in. Phil Pitts managed to scheme him out of the game two years in a row with a secondary that wasn't terribly athletic. He wasn't an elite recruit IMO.

So your saying that everyone that evaluated Ofodile in 2015 was wrong? He would have been the 4th best Missouri recruit in this class.

This is irrelevant. Where does he stack up vs his peer group in FL, GA, and Texas? I lived in Jacksonville FL for 4 years and got to watch ball in Jville and across the border in Camden County GA. I watched 4* Wrs like Mike McIntosh and Amp Hill compete vs 4* CBs like Leon Washington and Gerard Ross. Ofodile wasn't and isn't that kind of athlete.

So you are saying recruiting rankings aren’t always correct?
I thought Thompson and Scott were as good or better than Brown in the class. But this board is freaking out about missing on Brown.
The same can be said about the out of state DB’s compared to Craddeith.
The biggest in state misses this year were Babb, Perkins, Dele, Goodrich and Thompson (if he was willing to play OL)

This will be interesting to see all of the about faces done by those that dogged him as not that good when he chose Oregon and how he obviously isn’t a player cuz he hasn’t done squat at Oregon. I don’t know what he will do but I will enjoy the flip flopping and attempts at rewriting history

I never said any of the 10 were bad. Just that the only reason most are upset about not getting some of them are because they are locals. Also not all of the 9 misses are equal. I have them in tiers.
Babb, Perkins and Goodrich were the best 3 and ply positions where Mizzou needs the most help. The could have started as freshmen . (I also had Bell here, but he wasn’t part of those 10)
Second tier is Dele, Thompson, Parker and Trout.
Third tier is Carson and Brown. If Texas can get Carson to play hard then he could move up. He has the physical tools.
Fourth tier is Craddeith, he never got an official Mizzou offer.

Not sure if it has been mentioned but Ofodile has 2 to play 2

A bust at Oregon. Can he help us?
Wrong player for Wrong system.
Oregon run, and throw to their Rb. Being a star WR, Oregon would be last place i would go.
They spread the ball with WR/TE. Just not a good fit.

Why is every post downvoted? Is he trying to hurt people's feelings?
There maybe someone trying to put MIZZOU down. I am not sure who that person is but just not sure who that person is if you can ID that person then you should do something about that person. Have him explained his behavior for doing this.

He was seriously awesome in HS. Did nothing in college. We shall see. We sure have a lot of WR on scholarship now.
Why is that? Did you watch MIZZOU wide receivers last year? Dropping way too many balls that should have been caught. That is why I was happy MIZZOU picked up more than the normal amount of wide receivers to get the right guys of the bunch that will get the job done. It is hard to take just the normal amount like MIZZOU did in the past and failed to find the right one that would get the job done. So This year is a must to get receivers to make sure they do not drop the balls thrown to them. Got to find the ones that stand out from the large recruiting group of wide receivers. This is what I was hoping for and the coaches did their homework by doing by the numbers than by just picking enough that may or may not pan out. Also the ones that did not get the starting job or the back up will probably transfer out down the road.

No hindsight. Didn't know if he'd be good then and don't know now. Did now I wanted him then and figure he can't hurt us now.

This is key. Hes still someone with potential and there is really no harm in adding him. It's not like were are going to miss out on some 4* or 5* recruit because we had to make room for him.

I hope I'm wrong, but doesn't this seem a little desperate?
Hire the dad and the son who refused to stay in his own back yard out of HS, then goes to Oregon and fails. Please tell me we didn't hire dad to get this kid. I'm all about second chances, but I have zero expectations of the kid...who knows maybe it works, sometimes it's better with low expectations.

Yes you are wrong. Ofodile might be a good receiver, but that’s far from a guarantee.

I think theres no chance we hired the dad just to get the son in this scenario. I think his dad was hired because he has good recruiting ties in COMO (seen a few writers speak very highly of him) and he recieved a promotion because they like his ability as a coach. I think we took the son because he can play immediately and they were worried about depth at the position. I don't know what he will bring. His production was very bad at Oregon. I dont know if he's healthy. But he has size and experience. And you would hope if anyone will get the best out of him its his dad. And he will have a much better QB throwing to him. Hopefully the offense (that none of us knows what it will look like) will fit him better as well. I think its a low risk high reward move
