That was just the 6th SEC game with 40+ points scored under Drink (52 total SEC games). Three were in his first season.

What a fricking day. Think we all needed that game.

In so many ways I love the schedule:
Texas A&M - revenge game for the past L
Ole-Miss - revenge game for Austin Simmons
The team should have plenty of motivation. The Miss State loss was bad but it was not a blowout and some poor calls going against us.
Still got a chance at the playoffs.

They can only afford one more loss and they have a gauntlet to run coming up. It will be a hell of a season if they make it and this team can.
That's what make the loss so bad, they should have won that game.

We needed the MSU loss to convince Eli to get out of Simmons way.

agreed. they add two more scores on top of the 7 point lead in the second half and MSU has to abandon the running game and throw to keep up. Batoon goes wide 9 and Hopkins adds a couple more sacks in that game. Instead, Drink does Drink things and Lebby gets to keep his offense on schedule and we know the rest of the story.

Agreed. It's been a long time since I felt like that after a win ... unfortunately my liver also paid the price.
