Wow, I knew Mizzou was a consideration for Olugbode but just saw that 247, On3, and Rivals all have him predicted to Mizzou. He'd be another very impressive addition - blue chip WR out of Florida with offers from everybody

Eh. Most of the kids going D1 are on scholarship at CBC. So they’re making a choice to go to a private school for free.

247 recruiting goes back to 1999 and it has us signing 1 4* player from Cardinal Ritter, DeSmet, and CBC. Andy Bauer from DeSmet signed in 2014 but didn’t play a down because of injuries. Rivals had Marvin Burks from Ritter a 4* in 2023.

You had to give those coaches a bag too. GP wouldn't do it, Odom wouldn't do it, not sure if Drink is willing to pay the player AND the high school coach.

I can only speak for MICDS and Chaminade, but the other top private schools all think this to an extent... basically the consensus is that Mizzou is seen as most kids that attend there as their school of last resort.
A lot of the regular students that attend these school are taking the Classics to at least try for an Ivy or Public Ivy school as their 1st choice.
