Looks like it is Davion Sistrunk, athlete out of Florida. 247 doesn't have a rating for him, but if accurate, that is a helluva offer list. Rivals has him as a 5.6 3*

Offers: Miss St, Nebraska, Ole Miss, Oklahoma, Penn St, Pitt, South Carolina, Tennessee, USC, Virginia, Colorado, Illinois, Kentucky, Minnesota, etc.

I've never seen such an impressive offer list for someone that's not ranked. Definitely not going to pay much mind to this kid's ranking, great pickup

Apparently he's only played one year of football, but was the 5A District 12 payer of the year in basketball last year.

Last fall was his first year of playing football. Really raw but has the athleticism to flourish at DB.

Drinkwitz only been a head coach for one year. Drinkwitz is a lot better of a head coach than some of the head coach at some SEC schools. If he is that good then, he is worth it! Players are the same. He can sit out a year and then be ready in year or two.

You went from blowing Odom to blowing Drink without even needing a comma.

I'm impressed

I am disappointed with your attitude! I am wondering why you keep putting down on people that is putting out positive attitude around here and you just do not like to see anything positive about Mizzou in general! That is sickening and sad!

Whoa. Let's slow our roll a little bit. I'm a fan of the hire and he's got me excited about football again but let's let him coach some games before we start saying he's better than other SEC coaches.

He did beat South Carolina and North Carolina last year. He did very well last year. With Missouri he will have better players and the defense is going to be the same and the offense which he will be installing it shall be a lot better and no more Kelly Bryant. There are two quarterbacks that will have a good shot to do well with his system. Maybe the rookie might get a shot to start. But I doubt that. Too many defensive head coach in the SEC east that are struggling on offense. That is main reason why Barry Odom was fired!

New qb, new offense, who will be the wrs, who will play defensive end, who will punt and who is the fg kicker, who is our big play offensive weapon or weapons.

Give him time to build his style of team and then judge him.

Where he went as OC at NSU he improved the offense. after one year he went to Appalachian State to be the head coach. He did very well there in his first year going 12-1 and did not participated in the bowl game since, he went to Mizzou to be the next head coach. He is like Minnesota head coach. moved up the ranking veryly quickly. did very well.
Drinkwitz did beat South Carolina and North Carolina with 2* and 3* players.
He did not get help to run the offense. He said he will run his offense.
So far he replaced all the offensive coaches. Some left before/after he got there and others were fired when he got there. Of all the replacement only the OC was not really an improvement. If you count him for recruiting then that would be an improvement. HC said he will run the offense. Will he also call the places or let the OC do that. I have no idea. So far the offensive coaches are better than the ones from last year. Drinkwitz was able to coach to 12-1 and that is very impressive. He was able to overcome lesser talents to beat North Carolina and South Carolina.
Of all the head coaches in the SEC east division only two are offensive minded head coach.
South Carolina, Georgia, Kentucky, Vanderbilt, and Tennessee have defensive head coach.
So far defensive minded head coaches have struggled to get their offense going. Most likely the OC is to be the problem. Again who hired the OC, the head coach. That is what happened to Mizzou with Barry Odom. He was fired for failure to get the offense going. It is harder to find a good OC. So the AD decided to go with an offensive minded head coach.
The defense side is pretty much set. That was the correct way to do this.
Right now I am seeing that offense is by far more popular and fun to watch. More offensive head coaches have had more success than defensive head coaches due to lack of offense and getting the right quarterback.
Look back to last year when Barry Odom and Dooley got Kelly Bryant. How did that go? That is what I am talking about when you look at the head coach that can recruits the right head coach for his offense and be able to coach him up as well.
One last thing who is the most valuable player? Quarterback!

I am quite pleased to see that whatever Drink is selling to recruits about his style of play and the team he hopes to build seems to be working. While clearly, he can show success in the recent past it has not been in the SEC. He was pilloried by many for his reaction to landing Rakestraw, but maybe that level of enthusiasm is exactly what is working with recruits.

Also, I love it when little is expected of us going into a season. I don't really buy that other teams sleep on you (college football is too sophisticated for that), but it's fun on boards like this when we have unexpected success.

I'm cautiously optimistic!
