Drink can be good without Odom being "shitty." Odom put his heart into the program. We needed an upgrade, but imo, we don't have to look down on a guy who bled black and gold. Just my opinion, nothing personal.

They both can be true as well.

If you take off the Black and Gold glasses and look at Odom objectively, you see a lot of games we lost because of coaching and very few if any we won because of it.

Odom without Drew Lock probably gets fired after year 3.

Odom was undone by Bryant. We all thought he won the lottery when he got Bryant to sign. He made a commitment to Bryant and the QB was a disappointment to put it mildly. The defense improved, but the offense under Bryant was horrid.

I can't blame Odom for this blunder, because everyone thought he made the right decision.

The offense was horrid no matter who played qb. With Dooley gone makes me at least happy, but we still need wrs that can make some plays.

I was thinking the same thing yesterday. Remember how psyched we were we he announced for Mizzou? I felt that way all last summer. Then, Labor day weekend happened.

What was his promise to Bryant? I do not know but I believe it was that he would not be replaced if he is healthy. That and there was no competition to force him to get the starting job. Also he was struggling and why was he not being replaced earlier? Must be due to an agreement between Odom and Bryant. Also if you look at UGA, South Carolina, and other defensive head coach that struggled on offense and they had to replaced OCs so often to get it fix. Best situation for Mizzou was to replaced Odom with an offensive head coach and keep the defensive coaches. Then the HC replaced all the coaches on the offense.

I believe one of the things promised to Bryant was a system or playbook that would help him with the NFL. That along with a guarantee starting job.

We were really weak at WR last year. No doubt. Hazelton coming in should help. Need guys like Boone, Massey and Hester to step up.

I like our slot guys.

'Everybocy' had little to no information. Odom was the one getting 4 mil a year to recruit and evaluate. Is there a better place for the buck to stop? Or does the buck stop nowhere?

There will always be the Odom apologists. He's a True Son.

So I'm not surprised to see excuses for BO on the Recruiting 2021 thread.

Here's a kid I would love to get a serious shot at being in the wr rotation.

Great name. Only time I'd ever heard it was when he made this catch

That's the catch that I was referring to. He also made another spectacular catch that was just as good. Dooley very seldom played him and when he did he made catches like that. I've only seen him make 2 catches and they were awesome.

Mizzou fans getting a lil nervous, but if he get's a lil blue-blood frenzy we did get a pretty good under-the-radar tight end from Memphis in McKay.

Now that he picked up the offer from the tide his ranking will shoot up - that’s the way those sites work sometimes. Just watch

Does it really matter? Drinkwitz will still be a much better recruiter and a head coach than Barry Odom. Many other team are sleeping on Missouri this fall!

This story from Yahoo.com saying Mack Brown thinks that more recruits will stay closer to home due to COVID-19.
If that is the case maybe Drinkwitz can try to convince the other recruits who are committed to other schools to come to Missouri and will be closer to their family and it will be a huge benefit to the recruits and their family to visit Missouri while the COVID-19 is going around.
Here is the link.
