That’s awesome! Hopefully this will get the ball rolling better than last year.

He has something that none of the present linemen at Mizzou has.....a mean streak!

Outstanding. He had an impressive offer list too.

Brad Davis knows how to sell and coach his room. Solid work considering he has only been on the job since December.

Buford's blocking was the main reason LN was able stay in a shootout and beat Trinity in the playoffs last year. He can definitely ball.

I feel like we would have had about 30X the comments if he had went elsewhere.

Oh well...Davis did a great job recruiting him. Really made a connection. Ford has also had a consistent presence at Lutheran North. BO has made STL a big priority the past two classes. Didn't pay off last year, but I believe this year will be much different. Not sure if we neglected it under Pinkel per se, but there was a definite disconnect. Grabbing a 4* OL is great by itself, but it can also lead to more in the area. I believe we are far from done in STL this cycle and are going to pick up several very good recruits.

Good job by Odom and crew.

This isn’t Mizzou-friendly territory and they got a big W in the STL.

Odom is getting the position coaches involved much earlier in the process than they did under Pinkel. Getting Haley, Davis, Hargeaves, Odom, and Ofodile in front of these players as early as possible only helps them. They are the guys that these players are going to spend 80% of their football related time with.

Buford said that he was offered last year by Mizzou and then he heard nothing from Mizzou and when Davis and Dooley came on board communications changed.

He said it in this article.

Meh. Interest levels are just at a 2 right now. Only check the board about once a week or every other week. It will pick up as camp starts.

This is exactly why it will always be an uphill battle for Mizzou football

Not true. It’s been a rough couple years in MIZ territory. It’s not always this way, it just feels like it right now

Again meh. You're just a douche. All fan boards dye down to some extent in the off season. You act like you don't know this.

Ouch man :(

I just find it funny that every time we miss on a player there is comment after comment about how much BO sucks. Gain a huge commitment and it's essentially crickets. You know this to be true. Only active thread on the board is about the Cardinals. Posters on the board going out of their way to make sure everyone knows how much they don't care about football but the first ones to piss and moan if something bad happens.

You just got mad because I made a comment and the shoe fit.

A lax fanbase is a huge obstacle for any staff here. I'm not sure why you get upset about the truth.

I'm not mad. I just think you have a tendency from time to time to be a douche. I think you add a lot at times but I also think you try to be a contrarian just for the sake of being a contrarian at times as well. At least when it comes to some.

If you don't grasp that there is a drop in fan intensity in the off season, then we just view things differently.

A lax fanbase is moving the goal posts. That is different than talking about interest levels waning in the off season.

As far as Mizzou having a lax fanbase, possibly. No. Probably. But they have worked hard for the lifetime of the program to create what is an average program so sure, the fan intensity levels are going to be average. The whole chicken or the egg thing. Conversely, I think the argument could be made that those who lived through the 80's and 90's aren't lax at all. Lax fans that had to live through those eras would have stopped supporting the program completely long ago.
