Doggonit. It's all them damn dagnabit lower than low fans and critical posters fault. Add in them Social Justice "Worrier" protests and that good ole boy BO never had a chance. Also with the increased competition for instate recruits by the rising DII program in Central Missouri and that soon to be Juggernaut formerly known as SWMS now MO State. Hell with a name like MO State how could BO land homegrown talent much less best out the Group of Five teams who don't have doggone protests or critical fans. How did poor BO ever have a chance?

Sterk got to move on Odom before he digs a hole that will take 5 years to get out of. We could slip and be like KU and not use all the scholarships.

That's a wee bit dramatic.

Either he goes on a run worthy of keeping his job which would restore some recruiting momentum

Or he doesn't and we hire a new coach.

I can't imagine that having an interim coach would do anything to help recruiting.

An interim puts the recruits in "Wait and see who is hired" mode. Losing these latest recruits is tough because they aren't buying in after a long relationship. And can we please quit pretending like winning out and accepting the "Smart Chicken" Bowl is gonna resonate with a bunch of high level recruits.

We aren’t going to finish with a higher rated recruiting class than we had 3 weeks ago. So we may “restore momentum,” but it will still be a net loss on the recruiting side. And that means one more year to get out of the hole we’ve dug.

Going 5-1 down the stretch would produce some positive recruiting momentum, surely. Nobody is talking about five stars but there is also a ton between that and not being able to fill out a class.

I have a better shot at dating Scarlett Johansson than Mizzou does going 5-1

I've notice that Mizzou is dropped to 70th in recruiting and Illinois is 69th according to Rivals.

As if that is a surprise. Also what will not be a surprise will be the repeated echoes off of BOback mountain saying; we really did not need much less expect him, It's inherently impossible to recruit to MU, We are better served and should be happy when we get an unwanted/unranked guy to develop( because that is the only path to success), Home grown talent is always overrated, those daggone bluebloods yada yada yada. #BOMUSTGO

That's a bummer.

Didn't seem like he was coming here for awhile.

Perkins would have been a good get. The only thing that matters now is how good of a player Mizzou gets instead.

We definitely need the help at DE as well. I don't know if he's completely shutting it down or not, but we probably need to take at least 1 more DE. Maybe 2.

According to PM Mizzou has offered a few DEs in the last few weeks. So it seems the coaches knew this was coming.

He said he'll probably sign early so it appears that one is over.

If by this you mean making the most out of a shitty situation, I agree. Otherwise, these are just words of mediocrity. What matters is getting Perkins AND that player gets as well.
