Sounds like he really wants to be a Tiger. Article says he doesn't have breakaway speed, but on film he looked really good running after the catch.

McQuitty has delayed his announcement now, he was originally going to commit somewhere not Mizzou in March but said he had a great time and loved Mizzou and needs to talk with his family. Boyd wanted to commit but said he needs his mom to visit with him to get her blessing, he's coming back for spring practices, I would bet he commits then. There was a couple other OL who said they loved their visits and are coming back to watch some spring practices. I would expect someone to commit in March tbh, but who is anyone's guess. Lots of interest around the program right now.

Big but not fat, I think it's a matter of time before we land him. Kid seems to really love Mizzou and is exactly what we need on the OL.

I watched highlights of a lot of the recruits that Mizzou invited to Jr. day and for the first time in 5 years of viewing their highlights of jr. and sophmore invites have I been impressed with the wrs. These receivers run good routes and can run around and through people after the catch.

We may be able to change his mind if nubs continue their struggles and we can have a good start with Odom. But it does suck.

I'll become a believer that we can actually cross that next hurdle when we can start fending off the likes of Nebraska and Iowa. They are constantly raiding our recruits and winning that battle too often. And Illinois will become a player with Smith as HC, at least until they find out in a few years that they're still Illinois and not winning shite.

Yeah, I don't know why anyone expects Odom to recruit any better than Pinkel. He's very Pinkel like. Old school. Form over function. Substance over style. Etc
That just doesn't seem to play very well in recruiting.

One thing that I notice about Odom that so far is similar to Pinkel and that they both will offer 4* players out of the tri-state region by only sending offers and not assigning anybody to that player to push for Mizzou. It didn't work for Pinkel!
