True, but the proven factor has me going nuts on why we're not aiming high

If your aim is to have a class in the 20's, you have reason for concern. This class just isn't going to be that good short of something miraculous.

If you understand that we'll be in the 40's or 50's and that Odom has only been on the job what? 2 months. And nearly half of that was during a dead period. And he had to assemble an entire staff, who had even less time to recruit. And he had to replace a defector. I think he's doing fine.

I hate seeing all of the scrambling and reaching when there are no Beckner's in the class to give the flexibility to reach and miss, I also get that there wasn't much Odom could do. Frankly, if anything, I'd just as soon him bank the schollies and hold them for next year.

Probably the new d-line coach who has a pretty good rep. Just a guess.

The Bama board seems confident that Scales will flip to us tomorrow

If we can land Scales and Jacobs tomorrow I'll be happy. A surprise commit from Camp would be icing on the cake.

He needs a second hat on stage when he makes his announcement. We are that second hat. Unless he really likes shipp , he's going to Pitt.

Looks like we might get 3 from bama for this class. Black, Jacobs, and scales. Although I think Saban led black and scales to us.

Maybe Wilson talked to him about sticking with Mizzou. The kid has stated, his goal is the NFL. Jackie Shipp plus Mizzous track record has got to be a better fit than Pitt. I think we have a real shot.

Simms as well, but I bet he flips tomorrow

Great job by Odom with Scales though. I kind of agree with you that his film doesn't wow me. Like him better on D. One thing I have read about him though is that he is an excellent blocker. Seems Odom is going to want to use the TE more in that role.

I think they might try him at H-back some along with Culkin. Heupel's offense uses one in a lot of plays.

I really like how the staff got some experience at WR and really upgraded physically at RB. Just wish we got 1 more JUCO OL.
