Oregon offered quite a bit after Mizzou did. Why wouldn't he be mad that they slow played him even more than Mizzou did.

Some kids just want to get away when going to college.

Agreed. Not sweating this one. The more disturbing portion of this whole deal is not losing Scales, but apparently the State of Missouri is now on Bama's radar. I can see them trying to target 1 guy a year and trying to keep us from landing them.

Boom! Trystan Castillo from Webb City. He had offers from Kansas State, Memphis and Northwestern. That's some solid regional interest. I think we offered him yesterday, glad he wasn't mad about being slow played.

Kid looks ready to play in college with a ridiculous neck.

There it is. If we offer early, why do we go after scrubs? If we offer after others, why do we slow play them? Gotta love message board logic.

I can't believe Henson told Scales they needed to get some numbers on him.

BS.

He's in your backyard. Henson and staff should know what they need to know about him.

You know you're going to offer him at some point, offer him upfront.

You want the hometown discount, gotta bring the hometown offer at the very beginning.

It's like waiting until a player hits free agency, and then courting him with a cheaper salary than the rest of the market is offering.

Scales, apparently, just wasn't that high on our priority list. No sweat.

Welcome to the ZOU Trystan. Great size already and looks like a solid athlete with great strength.

Hudl

We've had great success with some OL from smaller MO schools and he could be another one. Webb City is a great program, but not exactly known for pumping out high level recruits so that could explain why he's a bit overlooked.

Hey guys sorry have been away! Stupid new job I don't get much computer time

Glad to see we got a commit early. Hopefully more start falling soon.

Do we have any good feelings about anyone? I know I have seen a lot of Tre Bryant the RB I feel like we will land at some point.

Maybe you shouldn't believe it since that information comes from a post on a message board about what someone thought they heard scales say in an interview.

Tre Bryant was at the Spring Game. He recently name K-State as his #1 on his list though. I still have him committing to us.

Castillo commitment story

I love when we get true sons like that. He really feels like even if he got offers from Bama, USC, FSU, etc it would still be Mizzou for him. Mizzou is home and home is where he wants to be. He has good size and plenty of room to add weight. Hope to see a good future for this kid

...even though Bryant says that he can't wait to get back to K-State
I hope you're right on him coming to the Zou.

Yeah. That's kinda the point I was making.

Why not?

We need TE's.

Kid's good enough for Bama.

A total joke we slow played him.

Fans can justify it any way they'd like. We screwed up. Bottom line.
