WTF is going on. The team keeps winning and no freaking commits. I'm sorry, but I'm growing tired of offers, can we please get some commits!

UT got a 2106 commit after losing for Christ sakes. And if those clowns get Kirkland to commit after losing to us, I'm going to have an aneurism.

We'll get our commits in time but I suspect it will be after the season. UT will probably get Kirkland so better get used to that.

We're probably gonna take somewhere in the ballpark of 20. We already have 12. You know one spot is Beckner's but you know he's not signing until closer to NSD or one of the all star games or something. I just don't think they're in a huge hurry to fill up those 7 or so spots right now and have none open come December and January when they have the big visits scheduled. If we had 20 spots to fill, I might be a bit more worried.

Ok, reedus, I trust you. I'll take my High Blood pressure meds and wait for NSD.

Oh I get strung out about it too. I just keep telling myself that to keep my own blood pressure down.

I just think with limited numbers and high target players still on the radar, Mizzou is in a tough spot. You don't want to give up on the high target players and give their spots away to someone else but then you may well end up missing on them at the end of the day and have to scramble to fills spots. If we're talking about 8 or so spots right now, I'd bet they want to fill all 8 of those spots with higher profile players, and those guys just aren't going to commit right now period. For example, if there's any truth to the Hentges rumors, he's just not going to do it right now, but you don't want to foreclose yourself too early from getting him to flip by filling up spots too early.

Basically I don't know and I'm just blabbering. I'm bound to get on the ledge at some point too. Just do me a favor and talk me down when I do.

No problem, I love talking Mizzou and recruiting and this place is much more hospitable than Tiger board or PM.

We will take between 8 and 10 more, and like reedus said, we're waiting on higher profile guys first. Also the coaches love bringing in guys after the season, which is different from most of our peers. Our big weekends are in December and January, so the best is yet to come. Hopefully we will have another SEC East trophy (and dare we hope for more?) To show these guys when they do visit.

I was at the game yesterday and I now get the appeal of that stadium. Their is no track so the stands go right up to the endzone and then straight up. And man is it loud. they are loud on every down the opposition has the ball. Not just third down. I wish we were louder but I guess it takes time. 95000 people yesterday made a lot of noise.

Does anybody know if we are pursing Josh Smith linebacker from Murfreesboro, TN.?? I see he is a soft verbal to Vandy. A friend of mine is an assistant principal at Oakland High School.

He told me he is an outstanding young man who can go to any school and thrive. We need him to trive at MU.

honestly, at this point, I think the best thing for recruiting would be for the coaches and staff to focus on winning the next TWO games.

We were in on him last year and his 4* brother. His brother stuck to his commitment to Vandy so I assumed he would too. I would love to see him visit us again.

Westbrook to OU. Apparently Mizzou only wants guys who can come in May, we've turned away Westbrook and Kirkland now because they are EE's. That makes no sense to me because we have spots open for EE's, but oh well. Hopefully we can find a JUCO WR but it's looking more and more like we'll be hurting on offense next year.

WR won't be the reason we are hurting on offense. If that's the case. It will be about how Mauk continues to develop.

No guarantee a JC player would do anything for us.

I see us starting

Brown
Moore
Doherty

Still have for depth
Leftwich
Richard
Blair
Delosa
Hall

Return all of our TEs as well.

That's asking a lot from unproven freshman and sophomore players. Together we'll return less than 75 yards receiving.

Yeah, but it was going to be that way anyway. I'm just saying I don't think a JUCO is our saving grace. Sometimes those guys take time as well.

We are going to be young at WR next year regardless, but like I said....Mauk will be in his second year full time. OL only loses one starter. Return all of our TE. Return plenty of experience at RB

I just don't think being young at WR will doom us.

This. I'm getting sick of this shite, all these losers recruiting their asses off but we win and get NADA. BS However its comforting to know we have 12 commits, I'm just worried at Tennessee and arkansas getting all these players, if they get really good we could have some future problems.

Why though? This is how we always recruit. Pinkel has never gotten, and never will get, top 10 classes. If he hasn't proven by now that he doesn't need them then I'm not real sure what to say.

Id like to recruit better simply because I like to follow it and frankly our recruiting is pretty boring, but I have no worries about being talent deficient. It's not about who you don't get, but who you do get. GP and co will get theirs.

Forget Pinkels evaluation process, I'm not questioning that. I'm shocked that all this winning hasn't sparked some of the recruits to commit. Just being a part of a winning program, 2 first round draft picks I would have thought whomever Pinkel has chosen to recruit would be jumping at the chance to come to Mizzou.

Regardless of star rating, I would have thought getting our offer would get a lot of kids to pull the trigger. Hell the staff should be able to cherry pick 3 stars, especially DL recruits.

Or am I off base? Again I'm not questioning Pinkels process, I asking why kids aren't crazy excited to join the success especially if you play DL?
