It's like the coaches are cognizant of team needs and might possibly have a plan as they fill recruiting classes. Further research is necessary.

Thank you MizzouSEC2012, for that write-up. I had actually forgotten that Bailey does play D-Line. If he did end up on the d-line it would be pretty consistent with the way the staff works.

- Matt Hoch was a TE, now a DT

- Michael Egnew was a WR, later a TE

- Lorenzo Williams was LB, later a DT.

- Aldon Smith was recruited as TE, can't seem to remember what he was converted to...

Here is the tape of Jhnathon Williams. Get this, he plays both DE and WR (Hello athleticism).

quote:

"Williams is a high-upside kid who possesses rare physical gifts, but still is a long way from realizing all that talent," Rivals.com Midwest Analyst Josh Helmholdt said. "The first question that needs to be answered is which side of the football he plays. At first I thought he was definitely best suited for defensive end, but watching him live a couple weeks back I think tight end is certainly in play. This is a kid with great length and great athleticism, but who still needs to work to become a great football player."

He was also a little hard to find since this guy kept popping on searches.

Was Florida State. Unless I'm getting him confused with someone else, I think he really liked Bama, but Bama wasn't as high on him. Don't think Mizzou was on his radar at all. Maybe that changes with some wins? Who knows.

I think I read somewhere also that LSU may have missed out on another kid or two and were putting a big push on for Johnson.

ETA - Some LSU fans started talking about it here. LINK

Here is list of decommits from SEC schools. Knowing Mizzou, we will won't get any of these kids, but it nice to know.

Also, don't expect to see Markel Smith on there, this site seems to go out of its way to include as little Mizzou stuff as possible.

Couple interesting tweets from Pete Scantlebury

Pete Scantlebury ?@PeteScantlebury 2h
In other news, in Friday's Chamber, I have a tiny bit of tantalizing info on an in-state recruit who may have #Mizzou back in play.

My last tweet was not about Andy Bauer, although my gut says Mizzou is at least in the conversation there.

Any guesses?

I'd love for it to be one of the bigs that hasn't committed yet but I'll go with Markel Smith.

Nope wingo

quote:

Here's a little, juicy tidbit for you guys right now: Over the summer, SLUH cornerback Raymond Wingo cut his list to six schools, and Missouri did not make that cut. At that time (I think it was sometime in July), I texted Wingo to ask what that means for Missouri, and he said the Tigers were eliminated for now, but it could change.

After a 4-0 start, I reached back out to Wingo on Thursday. I asked him if Missouri was still out of the picture or have things changed. He texted back with one word:

"Changed."

I've tried to follow-up with Wingo but haven't been able to get him on the phone. Either way, Missouri may be back in the picture for the talented in-state cornerback.

4* DE Dante Sawyer is no longer considering Alabama but said Mizzou has entered the race.

Failed to mention he is from Suwanee, Georgia. If it sounds familiar? Think Nate Brown.
