Couple new offers George Rushing is a 3* WR current Louisville commit, Christian Blake is an unranked WR from Florida. 247 predicts him to Mizzou.

1000% agree. Everyone wants something positive on the recruiting front. How easy would it have been to offer an instate kid that you know you will offer eventually and have him out in twitter land talking about how excited he is that he got his first SEC offer and it came from his home state school, Mizzou. Now you offer, and it creates little buzz.

Odds are UK hasn't spent much time evaluating him. They are throwing offers out at anyone and everyone lately.

I'd rather have coaches take the time to be sure.

Anyone have any thoughts on how many WR's they'll take with this class? We already have 2 commits in Richard and DGB II. Supposedly Nate Brown is high on Mizzou. There was talk of the Lee kid that decommitted from UT being interested in Mizzou. Kind of like the OL position, with having the commits we already have, not sure how many more they plan to take on top of them.

I know things will change a lot between now and then, but he's currently the top ranked player in Missouri, we've offered Lock, Hentges, Williams and Doherty, they are all 4 stars already, and he would be a legacy. Obviously I haven't seen the kid play, but I have to imagine he'll get an offer eventually. Just stinks that someone else stole the thunder and the positive mojo we could have gained.

Alex Ofodile tweeted that Mizzou has "the deepest WR group in the country." Not sure if that is good or bad in terms of recruiting but hopefully it means he likes something about the team and the way we can develop wideouts

With his height, he'd be more of a slot receiver. I'd like to see them take at least 3. Aren't we losing Lucas, Washington, Sasser and Hunt this year? Or do Sasser and Hunt have another year still?

I'm goin with it means he has a good perception of Mizzou. If he's a confident kid, he knows he can break through the depth. Plus a lot of them will be gone by the time he's ready to contribute.

Yeah, lose Lucas, Washington and Clark after this year. After next year, we lose DGB, Hunt, Sasser, and White. Assuming he were to red shirt there is a lot of turnover before he'd be playing. Don't think he's concerned about too much competition. Besides, as mogray said, if the kid is worthy of a 4 star rating, I don't think he thinks in terms of not being good enough to break through the 2 deep regardless of who is here.

More on Miller Career Academy. This is the school that the Frazier kid (of did MU offer or didn't they fame) went to. They do have a decent basketball program and apparently Kelvin Lee just got the head coaching job there. Kelvin Lee was the HC at Chaminade, that produced the likes of Bradley Beal and David Lee. Definitely someone Haith and company need to keep close to. I have a feeling Lee may put Miller Career Academy on the map, much like Irons did at Vashon.

According to twitter world. Unless I got the wrong guy, which wouldn't surprise me. Lots of congrats following that(including from a familiar name, Bob Sundvold), so seems like they have.

With regard to all the chatter about Augusta, by what date would we have a pretty firm idea? In other words, if he's not enrolled or on campus by when, is it then safe to say he won't be playing at MU this year?

Sorry, sugarlips, I forgot they red-shirted.

And reedus, someone asked Dave Matter that today in his chat. He didn't have a date, and said it was probably up to the NCAA clearinghouse. Yeah, those guys.

Mizzou has offered 2016 Alabama cb Jermarious Jordan. They are his second offer, Vandy being the first. Just reporting because all the talk of showing early love. Don't know anyone from Missouri getting an offer that early.
