UR I heard that too but I just don't think our staff would have turned him down. Murphy had too many offers and came from am area we want to start a pipline in

I'm other news I'm waiting on Paul Adams "new recruit" to commit already. I want some good news lol. Really thought it was gonna be Murphy.

I think he did too. He made another tweet about people needing to go where they're wanted, and not let anyone tell them what they should do. And something about how great Mizzou as a university and as a football program, and it's sad others don't see that. He thought Murphy was ours.

But if we have 2 corners already, I'm not going to lose sleep over it.

Recruiting new for the 2015 class. 4* RB Natereace Strong is very high on Mizzou after camping with them this summer. He is from East St. Louis, IL.

Just a reminder that his teammate is the number 2 kid in the entire country at DE.

Good info. Was not sure if him and Beckner played on the same team. I am completely fine with taking up a "donation" to these kids favorite uhm "charity" if it gets them to come our way

See, we need to figure out our game plan here. Rumor has it Auburn uses bag men and cash up front. Which seems tricky, and with no recourse if a recruit switches his commitment at the last minute. Again, according to rumor, Bama does it a little differently. Recruits are not paid to go to Bama. But once they get there, they may be taken care of. Like Trent Richardson, who's mom was the paid "house-sitter" for a booster, and allowed to furnish that house, down to the rooms for Trent's kids, because that booster would probably have grandkids someday that would need bedrooms.

Now, Ole Miss, on the other hand, uses some boosters in positions of authority over lots of employees to reward or punish recruits. Play for us, and mom or dad gets a promotion/job. Go elsewhere? Hmmm, layoffs are coming. All rumor, of course.

We need to study the SEC successes and figure out what would work best here.

It's one of the QB recruits, goes by Papi Chulo on twitter. Hmmm....

Sounds like it's not final, but getting pretty close. He's also considering Georgia Tech, apparently.

Yes. Same school. East St. Louis is pumping them out again. I know we also went after another kid that committed to kU. Seems like they might have someone else too that is D1 talent. East St. Louis was a power under Shannon. Looks like they're regaining some of that again.

I think I read he's supposed to be visiting this weekend and then recall some other comment about making his announcement next Sunday, which would be just after his official. I think I remember Richard asking him what he was waiting on about a month or so back and he had made some comment about waiting for his visit.

Who knows. Keeping fingers crossed on this one.

Apparently 3* DE out of St. Louis, Rennell Wren named a final 3, and it doesn't include Mizzou. I don't know how hard we were going after him, but I'd really like to start seeing some recruits on the DLine committing.

The DL concerns me too, Reedus. They've got to get some linemen.

The way I read his final 3 is that it is tentative and subject to change. Not saying Mizzou can slip it but I do know they are not totally out of it.

Oh I don't think Mizzou is ever completely out of it until letters are signed. My guess is we weren't going after him hard. I think he had Memphis in which tells me we might not have been pursuing hard.

Sounds like East St. Louis showed well in 7v7 tournament. I might venture to the Illinois side for the Rockhurst game.
