with abbington gone, and now augusta, and possibly the other guy from STL... absolute worst class imaginable. I bet it has to be the worst class in all of the major conferences. Hopefully they can get a good one here in '14 to try and mask this shite arse of a class.

If you mean Antar, he is already going juco. that is old news.

No commits but we did make very good impressions on several. Cheadle will announce this week. I think we should like our chances with him.

I will feel a lot better when all the positive statements start turning into commitments. Until then, it's heard to discern if they're just saying the appropriate things for the sake of not burning any bridges.

However, Nate Brown did leave with an offer.

Good Luck with Nate... Good kid by all accounts, great size, lotta upside. Your staff has to stay on these kids, they're gonna camp a lot & get a lot of smoke blown up their arse. Do y'all have a coach or two basically "living" down here & recruiting over the summer eval. period?? Seems these kids down here(especially 4*& high3*) expect a lot more "love" (attention) from a staff than other areas of the country, JMO...

A former recruiting director of ours is now a Head Coach at a HS down there.Brought a bus load of kids to our camp on Sunday if that answers your question.

Here's his Jr. Highlight film...great ball skills, good speed, uses his body well to get space & separation on a lotta bad short throws...

Dave Matter is heading to Kansas City for "some news." Didn't elaborate if it is Mizzou related. If it is I do not seeing it being recruiting related. Possibly another donation though. If anyone hears anything please share! Thanks!!

I know it's early but things have got to change. We lost 2 of our higher rated recruits from last year in what was already a thin class. So far this year:

Per 247
A&M (1)
UT (4)
UK (5)
OM (7)
Bama (9)
LSU (10)
UF (14)
Aub (17)
UGA (24)
Vandy (29)
MU (32)
MSU (44)
SC (48)
Ark (53)

And that is skewed because MU already has 10 commits. When looking at the average, MU is dead last at 82.95 while Arkansas is at 88.02. I think MSU is the closest at 85.09.

For about the 900th time, MU isn't going to make a splash with recruiting until some W's come rolling in...

Seems like we have very good players targeted that have a lot of interest..... get off to that 5-0 start and commitments will come.

Plus, '15 class seems like it's going to be good too.. the light class we had in '13 might be somewhat of a blessing in disguise.

I see this posted, but I continue to wonder.....what is this based on? We have had 10+ win seasons and followed them up with crap classes, why would this be any different? We have had good individual players to classes, but overall they have been bad since 2010.

Class rankings are worthless. Player ratings do hold some weight.

Auburn didn't win a single conference game last year and they have another great class.

Kentucky hasn't won much of anything in football and yet they have a great class when comnpared to ours.

So, it's not just Wins that interest recruits.

Probably just checking out his options. I doubt this gains any more traction.
