Up by 9 now, about 7 min to play

Stop me if you’ve heard this, lots of turnovers and Tilmon in early foul trouble. Have also done a very poor job defending the 3

McKinney is the most athletic guard we’ve had in a long time. Hopefully he can do whatever it is Cuonzo wants because he could be fun to watch

Mizzou started slow, CMU hit a lot of 3's early.

Positives:

Dru Smith is the real deal, forget Geist, we have a PG again.

Kobe Brown makes you realize just how bad Kevin Puryear was.

Man I hope the more optimistic fans are right but this so sounds like a road we've traveled before. Losing/close at half to a shitty team, maybe pull away late...until you start having the games where you start pulling away.

I don’t know that the overall tone is all that optimistic.

Should be better than last year, but not sure how much that means.

Really need to see a few of the new guys and if Watson can continue his play from late last year before I have much of an opinion. I think I’ve got a good feel for what everyone else is. Hopefully Cuonzo can actually pare down the rotation to under 10 guys.

Our guard play should be pretty solid imo. Need to develop roles, but that’s why you play the games.

You're right. The games just get easier from here.

Pinson, 20 minutes, 2 points and 1 assist. Ouch.

The 2 points and the assist were fun though. Both were real crowd pleasers.

Is he the guard for Mizzou that did a tomahawk slam?

Arkansas looked shaky in our exhibition game against UALR a few weeks ago (a special game played to benefit flood victims I believe). Partly because this was the biggest game in UALR history but partly because its the first exhibition game of the season and everyone is out of sorts.

A lot of teams, SEC, ACC, Big East, or whatever look off balance in that first exhibition game. Just like a lot of football teams look completely lost in the spring scrimmage.

We will see how Mizzou plays once the real games start. Everything I've read puts them as a middle of the pack SEC squad. So a great shot at the NIT and if you get hot a shot at the Big Dance.

There have been final four teams that lost exhibition games. Duke just got taken to the wire by NWMSU (6 point win). They literally mean nothing.

meh exhibition. Look at Louisville, they seem to lose their exhibition games on the reg, and still have good seasons.
