What you suggest negates the conflict Bryant's legs create.

How so? I don't see Kelly rolling out unprotected; there certainly won't be a full line outside blocking for him. I'm thinking there will be plenty of planned roll-outs with the RBs or just 1 RB leading the way.

That's why you build your RPO off outside zone action. Bryant in a Sprint out RPO with a shovel pass to Badie as the first read is going to be rough on defenses. You can power block that play as well.

There are numerous ways to manage an unblocked edge defender and use the RB in space against a OLB.

Any thing less than 10-2 will be disappointing.

I'd say 10-2 should be the expectation. Less than that with this schedule and someone didn't do their job. And before the sunshine pumpers jump on that, no, that does not mean that someone should lose their job. It just means somewhere along the way a ball was dropped

How so? BO's third year. We have a QB that is an experienced winner. Easier schedule. Two really good running backs. Why not have high expectations?

I mean, I’m hoping for a 10-2 season. But, I don’t think that’s the bar. I’d be disappointed anything less than 9-3 with this schedule. I’d be okay with 9-3, happy at 10-2 and thrilled with anything more than that.

The reality is, we are replacing a lot on defense and offensive lines with unproven talent. Doesn’t mean it won’t be there, but the reality is that the question marks could bite us.

Odom has spoken more highly of this team this offseason than he has in the past in my opinion. I think that says a lot from a quiet guy.

A 9-win season beating Kentucky and South Carolina would make me happy. Even with a head scratching loss. Which would be required under those circumstances. I’m strait tired of losing to them.

Well it’s his 4th year, but do you know how many 10 win seasons we have in program history?

I think we CAN win double digits. Definitely. A lot of it will depend on health and the development of some of the young guys in the front 7

Aha. A well reasoned response more than others provide.

Wouldn't argue with any of that. I'd be happy with 9-3. Hell, I'd enjoy an 8-4 year. But I do think the expectation should be 10-2.

I am actually envious of those who set their sights lower. They are accepting of less. In many ways, life is easier that way. Never been a fan of participation trophies myself.

Hell, why not EXPECT to go undefeated. Expecting to lose two games is just defeatism

That's a 3rd grade argument but I'll play. So what games besides UGA do you EXPECT Mizzou to lose?

I dont expect to lose any of them. I’m just wondering what your criteria is for expecting a win?

If it’s recruiting rankings then we should be expected to go 4-8 with Vandy our only conference win. That’s a big difference from 10-2. And a lot of you guys hammered Odom pretty hard. So if it’s not recruiting and it’s not coaching then what could it be?

We have a weak schedule. We are favored in 10 games. So if we win less than 10 we underperformed vs. expectations. Math is hard.

If you’re looking at this season right now I think if Barry wants to really ride this momentum we need 10 wins. 9 wins and we are back to still improving overall win total but with the taste of disappointment and thinner margin for error recruiting etc. This season is by far the most interesting because imo your 4th year as a coach is your biggest when rebuilding a program which he was. His culture is in place and his guys are in place no excuses. I’m hoping for 11 wins including a bowl win. That would obviously include one very big off season win.

He’s still working under the theory that we’re going to retroactively award some wins to Odom because he’s a manly man.

I like JQ, but he takes homerism to a new level.
