Mullen doesn't seem like he wants to be here anymore and we will be lucky to make a bowl game.

Miles would be a solid hire IMO.

I think Les Miles is probably set to retire from the game honestly

He just hasn't had the fire in him like he used to have. I wouldn't want him at MSU

Hiring les as head coach would be a huge fail we just have to support the coach we have and hope that when he goes we make the right decision. We arent firing Mullen this year so there is no point in talking about it.

Hire a guy who can't win with a stable of 5*, more coordinators and the best RB in CFB?

Miles would land a few more blue chippers at State, but that wouldn't do us a whole lot of good in the grand scheme of things.

I wouldn't be opposed to it, but I don't think it's worth us having to pay out Mullen's contract. However, I do think Mullen's seat is getting pretty hot, and he shouldn't really be allowed to lose another rent-a-win. Hypothetically, if a desperate LSU picked off Mullen from us it would save us some money down the line if things don't improve. I think if our hand is forced we could do worse than Les.

What the actual frick? If Mullen had LSU talent and Miles had MSU talent, the average score each year would be about 35 to 7. Les is as hard-headed about running an offense as was Croom.

Only if he agrees to bring back Joe Lee Dunn as defensive coordinator. Only way we'd score is on defense.

Are you saying this just for effect? i've heard sports writers say Mullen would be a good hire for LSU and you suggest getting rid of him because we might miss a Bowl when we have been to 6 straight!!

stop drinking so much on bye weeks...Les Miles could not do what Mullen has done at State. Depending on who we hire as AD if they are on the same page I think we can improve even more. We are having a hangover year post-Dak which is OK.

Mullen did what he did at state due to really solid talent. Some of that is certainly his doing, but I feel like a good coach should have been able to at least get to Atlanta the 2014 season.
