Wilson > Diaz
I liked Diaz's fire but I love Wilson's care for our players.

I'm still kind of up in arms over the fact that we haven't blitzed much this year. Otherwise I tend to agree Wilson > Diaz

I think Wilson is a much better coach and recruiter...I think Manny's one advantage was his play calling abilities.

Manny is a hell of a coach. He is just having a shite time over there in Texas. I was skeptical of Wilson after the Memphis and Auburn games last year, but boy has he proved me wrong.

If I had the choice I would take Diaz over Wilson. Not saying Wilson is bad though because he's very good.

Diaz doesnt call a very good game to me. He is way too reckless. Think about the NFL talent on that D: pernell mchphee, chris white, charles mitchell, kj wright, fletcher cox, jonathon banks, and josh boyd. Thats 7 and many more like Sean Fergeson are hanging around practice rosters (Buffalo). Anyone could have coached that team. He did nothing groundbreaking and his true colors are showing at Texas

His stats at MTSU were good. Lead the sun belt for like 3 years

I was thinking the same thing. I always felt Diaz and Mullen were made for each other. I always saw them cheering and high-fiving one another on the sidelines after a huge play. I don't even see Wilson during the game (press box?). Although, I do like how Mullen sticks to his offensive forte and lets the DC take control. I would hate to see Dan try and hover over the defensive decisions.

Wilson is on the sidelines, and he is pretty visible.

The cbs sports special last night made me like Wilson more. After they scored on us he was like, "hey, look at me." they all looked at him. He didn't say anything. He just stared at them. They all looked scared.

Diaz's blitz packages were insanely good. Wilson is an overall good coach and a great recruiter.

They were insanely good b/c of the talent though.
Wilson is doing a good job. My only complaints come during the OOC games when we sit in zone and let freshmen QB's throw the ball around on us.

I love wilson, but he's gotta get those guys to start getting some pressure. I know he is way more knowledgeable about this than I am, but you can't be a great team without pressuring the qb sometimes. It's a real concern, but TN does have a good line. We definitely made Bray get the ball out faster than he wanted and definitely made him throw it away.

If you want to take it a step further, Diaz coached LB's too. I realize we only had 1 year to judge him there but when you look at the inexperience and departure of talent at LB co-dc/lb coach Geoff Collins inherited, his job has been nothing short of spectacular. I'll take Wilson/Collins all day long.
