No fire in tha belly. Cohen gas also given us many reasons to show him the door. Under no circumstances should he be allowed to make another hire.

He’s milking his final years in Starkville. I haven’t watched since the OM game, and it’s been great.

Cohen has been nothing short of a DISASTER. He should have been sent packing with Moorhead.

We would have made the tourney last year had it not been cancelled.

However this year is hard to watch. Great defense but offensively we are lost and have great talent. It’s frustrating because we could have won every game we played. And Devon Smith shouldn’t see the floor he is a turnover machine. Fountain is going to be really good.

Maybe it’s the youth of the team. I might be willing to give Howland another year if we can keep Stewart and Molinar and have Fountain, Tolu Smith. But it would be NCAA tourney or bust

We had the luxury of watching ray tanner tank South Carolina’s programs, and STILL hired Cohen as AD. Unbelievably small minded and short sighted hire. He is horrible. Cohen has me more distant from MSU sports than I have ever been in my adult life (almost 40).

The sad thing is I'm more worried about Cohen than I am about Howland. I do not trust Cohen to make the right hire.

And under him our basketball fan base has completely gone away while our basketball facilities lag to our conference peers to the point I wonder who we can get now.

It's amazing we didn't use the momentum from WBB to invest in facilities at basketball that would benefit both MBB and WBB. So now we have our greatest coach of all time leave for a school that did make a commitment for basketball facilities, while we now have two bad programs in basketball.

But hey at least the baseball facilities are good! I can't believe we let Baseball go to the peak even more than football. But such is life I guess.

I agree after today a change has to be made. But to be clear I don't put all the blame on Howland. There's a reason than just him as to why we are where we are in this. And there definitely needs to be an attitude change from the fan base to the administration for the next coach to be successful. Otherwise our loss to Liberty in the NCAAT will be our one shining moment for years to come.

I'd be willing to give Howland another year if Cohen doesn't get another year.

I was pretty much in the boat of doing that fyi because of my low expectations of this team coming into this year with what we had returning and there was certainly promise with big wins over Florida and Missouri. But following that up with atrocious losses to Ole Miss at home(does Howland ever beat them?) And a Vanderbilt team that has won 4 games in 3 years is unreal.

I personally don't think Howland is gone after this year even if he deserves it because this administration has proven they don't care about Men's Basketball. Say what you want about Stricklin, but that guy did care about MBB and it's clear our department has not cared since he left.

Incredible, we gave more support to a no name bottom tier ACC assistant coach than we have to a 3 time Final Four, winning Head Coach. Pathetic. But it is what it is.

And let's not forget while Cohen has seemingly only supported Baseball this entire time, he almost destroyed it when we hired that inexperienced LSU assistant who spent more time on Twitter looking up women than he did practicing with the team. And that HC search was a mess...

Other than the boosters feeling like they control things(controlling MSU to athletic demise), there has been no reason to keep Cohen. But that's the reason we're with LT 2.0

Every sport has declined under Cohen. Football, Baseball (yes we've had success IN SPITE of the AD, but that coaching change was an embarrassment), Both Basketballs. I don't even think Tennis or Golf does as good anymore but idk.

Either way the main sports have all declined. Until we as address the issue, we're just going to get a bad hire for Men's Basketball.

Fire Cohen, let the board of directors decide on a new AD then let them make a new basketball hire.

SPS asking if our 6th year coach who was .500 entering today deserves another year. He will be given another year, but he sure AF doesn’t deserve it. Next year, we will have to fire him if he doesn’t make the tournament, which he won’t. Cohen is a disaster.

I probably still trust Howland more than I trust a Cohen HC search. Which is sad but true.

Nice win over Ole Miss by double digits, controlled the whole way. Man this inconsistency is wild. But I don't think anyone predicted that as a win so good credit as that's the 2nd win in Oxford in Ten Years

Howland has gone NIT, NCAA, NCAA, NIT in the last 4 years. Not sure why that would warrant a firing at MSU.

I’m frustrated this year but team is young. I’d like to see us make the NIT semifinals at least.

Next year it should be NCAA or bust. We need to win all the close game we lost this year. Had we won all the games decided by 6 or less points we would be a 5-6 seed

Not sure why anyone wants to fire Howland. He has brought us back to respectability and this years team though young and inconsistent now has a chance to make a NIT run. That would be a great confidence builder going in to next season. Playing two or more straight games really well has alluded this team all season. Doing so now would be a good sign of maturity.

Then, minus Ado, the whole team is returning barring anyone transferring or having an injury.
That will gave us poised to have a good to possibly great season.

Having said all that, good win today over a very good Saint Louis team. Let’s Go Dawgs!!!

He got DJ Jefferies from Memphis, Garrison Brooks from NC and Shakeel Moore from NC State and is close to landing Rocket Watts from Mich State.

I don't know what you are expecting from a place that can't put but 2-3,000 butts in seats at the games. He is getting talent.

To me, Howland is doing his job and dang well. He has made State a bubble type team from a the dog pile. Next year State will have the talent to make a real run in the post season.
