I was about to ask the same thing. 4.4 is probably more lied about by football players and coaches than dick size.

Im very aware of what a 4.4 is and we have guys committed like Gabe Myles, Kailo Moore, and Scott Austin who are all track guys who YES run a 4.4 forty or better.
Brandon Holloway as well

Wow. So y'all have faster guys in this signing class than the entire lot of drafted SEC players last year. Merlin's dealing

Mullen gets it.
Jury is still out on Freeze
Speaking of Freeze, he must not care much about in state recruiting. Of the top 10 Mississippi recruits on 247 State has commitments from 6 of them Ole Miss only has one in OM legacy Ryan Buchanan.

Being fast and translating to the NFL aren't necessarily the same thing. Jeff Demps has the 100m jr world record, and he didn't get drafted...
Holloway and Moore have world-class speed, no doubt...

Freeze not off to a good start. Devaluing instate talent is a huge misstep IMO, especially with Ole Miss being a regional brand at best.

Do you know what a 4.4 is Bundy? The SEC puts out 2-5 football players a year that run that. I love that every single skilled position player that committs to yall is that fast
No different in Oxford, Baton Rogue, Ttown, or anywhere else. At camps there will be multiple 4.4's and a few 4.3's. Are they legit? Yes legit hand timed. NFL combine does laser timing, big difference. Its like fake tits. You see them, you know there probably not legit, but your still ready for them to be in play

I'm not sayin Bundy is making up these times. I'm saying Bundy is an idiot because he believes them

So which is it? Is Merlin killing Freeze in instate recruiting or is Freeze devaluating instate talent. It can't be both

It would make sense for him to look elsewhere, IMO. Outside the VERY top tier in MS, guys are almost always underdeveloped in hs and take a few years to get up to speed. Especially in the spots OM needs the most help in. It's a luxury he really doesn't have at this point...
He may(and should) be looking for immediate impact type players. I'm betting he goes very heavy on JUCO this year... Can't you back-count something like 8-10 EE guys?
Hopefully, he is devaluing in-state talent while cleaning up OOS, because that approach could logically allow both State and OM to be good at the same time...

It's both

Im not so sure Bundy believes them. (although he probably does) I don't believe every time I see, but I usually quote the time that I have seen the coaches/media report.
Are you wanting us to add .2-.3 to every time to make them more "legit" or just not mention times when talking commits?

Freeze is using O's tactic of going for a handful of sure fire OM kids and putting most resources OOS. That can be very risky, especially when kids like Mix and Moore end up committing to Merlins.

Prob just better to not to say anything. Maybe a causal mention at most, but Bundy will do something like this:
With Austin now committing that gives us 4 guys with LEGIT 4.4 speed. I like how Merlin's is going after all these guys who can flat out FLY. Freeze better get off his arse, because Merlin's is scooping up a 4x400 relay TEAM!

I know you don't believe that. Bumphis couldn't outrun that fat parking ticket looking guy on campus.

Requiem, why do you constantly try to put down our players and recruits?
