Winston County native

How does the confusion level increase X 10 in one recruiting year? Do I just not remember or is it really this bad right now?? I understand nothing has happened yet, but the signs are going from bad, past worse to awful..

It didn't just happen in one year as 2011 was this bad even with Nutt and last year wasn't because OM was in disarray and couldn't regroup in time. Its seemingly always about OM and their "tactics". We don't seem to have to deal with these type shenanigans when it comes to AL, LSU, etc. (you know, actual respectable SEC programs). Its become obvious that the Bear recruiting network will stoop to levels in recruiting that most programs prefer to stay away from.

How about you guys stop blaming Ole Miss and start looking at our head coach who time and again has rubbed parents and kids the wrong way.

First off, I would like to know the details of what Mullen does to piss off everybody in recruiting? I know he can be abrasive but hell, Croom was as cordial as could be and he couldn't recruit worth a flip. Second, if this is STRICTLY about Mullen then why is Jones not looking at Bama, LSU or others as well. Just like CJ Johnson never looked at those upper tier programs either. IT ALWAYS SEEMINGLY ABOUT OM. Heck, Tuscaloosa is about as close to Houston as Oxford is and a heck of a lot better program. Why did Jones' Father develop such a liking for Ole Miss in the last 3 weeks of recruiting? Yes, Mullen can be a jerk but its also pretty obvious that there are specific things going on behind the scenes unique to one school.

There are things going on. However, MSU can not continue to get beat in recruiting by UM and expect to move up the ladder.

Hud will fair no better. What MSU lacks is the effectiveness at PR. We lack at showing up for players at visits. We lack the excitement as a fan base.

I wonder if anyone has asked CJ if he wants to ride the pine with NK and Daniels starting. 3 defensive ends unless one of them wants to play DT or be a sub to give the other two a rest now and then.

Couple of points. Hud would fair better because he's just plain out a better recruiter. It hurt us a lot when he left our staff in the recruiting game. Second, now you are sounding like its the fans fault. I mean even with all the OM "excitement" I still saw a LOT of people in VH this year dressed as empty seats while we continued our sellouts and have 100 million dollars being sunk into new facilities. If Mullen wants a big PR recruiting weekend it certainly could be put together but he would have to make the right people aware its needed. And it doesn't appear to me Mullen is into doing things that way.

If all three sign, at least two of them will be coming off the bench this year.

Adding C. Ward to that rotation -

Chris Jones will play no matter where he signs but I think he will share a lot more of his playing time at OM than he would at MSU. We are desperate for a top notch pass rushing DE while OM already has several of those on campus (Ward, Johnson etc.) and are bringing in the likes of RK and Daniel.

Gotta love how at least one person on our staff is busting their arse recruiting (Brewster) his tweets yesterday were awesome

Best one was he asked the fans where the best place to eat in Batesville was because he would be "making a stop through there today"

Someone on 24/7 said Michael Carr ran a 4.42 in workouts, can anyone confirm this? I know he has blazing speed but this is pretty unheard of considering he hasn't played in 2 years.

Hand times are to real times what hand sex is to real sex... not real interesting to talk about.
