Just somethings I thought were interesting on the chart:

- At this point I feel like the "or" at the QB position is a formality. It feels like Towles is likely the starter and that's perfectly fine. If his accuracy has improved like rumored he could have a big year under Dawson.

- Also think the "or" at RB is another formality. I love Jojo Kemp's swag, but Boom may be the best kept secret in the SEC at RB.

- The logjam at WR with Johnson, Timmons, and TV is a good thing IMO. The more targets the better.

- CJ Conrad is already listed as a starter at TE. I cannot wait to see this kid take the field, and better yet, see Dawson actually utilize our TE position appropriately.

- It's good to see some depth back in that secondary. I'm really anxious to see how West does coming of his injury. Some big shoes to fill at that DE spot though.

Seems about right. Good analysis Belle. I am looking forward to this season. Some added depth will help this team late in games.

The first 4 games are critical, need to come out of that no worse than 2-2.

Agreed. And some potential to take some teams by surprise who are overlooking them too after that.

Our corners make me hold my breath. I pray some freshman comes in (Westry?) and blows one out of the water.

Love our safeties though.

Agreed. I really hope we shore up the run D. Last season it was abysmal. I feel like that got lost by fans somewhere along the way.

Not anyone who watched the UGA game. Another thing I think people forget is that despite having both Bud and Z, our pass rush wasn't all that great last year. Hope to see us equal the production on that front despite the loss of those stars.

I don't think it necessarily got lost on fans. We haven't had a good run D in awhile and was thin on that side of the ball. With improved depth, consistency in scheme, and experience I expect that to improve.

I'm more concerned with our special teams than our run defense though. They absolutely killed us in some games last season.

Yeah, and I'm concerned about not having a coach dedicated to special teams. I guess anything is better than Naivar?

Coaching by committee might not be too bad. Sadly, I tend to agree that anything is better than Naviar.

My excitement for this season is starting to grow. Stoops has had very good comments the last couple of days of practice, and it seems more players are practicing better and better.

Didn't think it need it's own thread but I'm concerned about something: I heard recently that UK was switching to the 3-4 this year. Please, tell me this isn't true or that UK will be running a modified/hybrid 3-4 that still uses a lot of 4-3 elements. I want UK to reach bowl eligibility this year but switching defenses scares the bejeezus out of me.

They are but it's not a bad thing IMO. They've been moving towards that (it was mixed in last season) and with the personnel on the roster the argument is it's a better option instead of trying to best the SEC at its own game.
