User Restrictions on Selecting a Favorite Team

In my short time here, I have noticed the most obnoxious trolls on the SEC Rant forum have a penchant for constantly changing their favorite team logo. These shitposters then use that selection to their advantage to pretend to be a representative of a rival fanbase, cluttering up the board with stupid threads and piss-poor trolling attempts.
Upon account creation, I would suggest prompting the new user with three possible favorite college or professional team selections. That way, you prevent some posters who intend to cause nothing but disruption from going completely berserk on the forum.
I don't mind clever, witty trolling, but half of what I read on the SEC Rant forum belongs in the kiddie pool. I know there has to be some place for these serial trolls to go so they don't infect every other forum on this website (God help us), but I wish there were more restrictions upon user activity and/or moderation in place, especially when a new account is created.
I don't know if this is already in place, but I would also suggest limiting users to no more than 4 threads per day on SEC Rant. If somebody is creating more threads than that in less than 24 hours, it's highly likely that poster's content is tripe. Quality > Quantity.

Manzielathon- Obvious A&M poster pretending to be a Clemson fan. Awful threads, awful posts, and in spite of his screen name, posters still think he really is a Clemson/ACC troll
BIGTigerFan (sp?)- LSU fan pretending to be a Texas fan. Posting "Texas Can't Lose" in every other thread. Immature and annoying.
WilliamTaylor21- Serial stupid posts. I've seen him sport an Alabama, Tennessee, Texas, and Texas A&M logo all in the same week.
I'm not trying to be a prick and a tattletale, but Good Lord the content from the aforementioned posters is just awful.

Just pay attention to their user name and quit being such an easily triggered douche canoe.
Team logo selection is pretty low on the list of problems around here.

And just out of curiosity, how are you going to regulate the 100 longhorn fans pretending to be Florida, Bama, , Auburn, etc fans? Or all of the LSU fans that sport another team affiliation, gotta be over a 1000 of them? Go visit the OT and observe. But don’t post there, they might not like you very much

Some of the fun for long time posters is to assume the Icon of their enemy in order to confuse them. Works well with the non SEC trolls who show up when winning but vanish when they lose.

Case study: Been around five years, posts very little, half the time he’s an A&M fan that absolutely hates A&M(strange as that is) half the time he’s a Longhorn fan who hates A&M, and about 5 times out of 249 posts over 5 years he’s pretended to be an LSU fan. Today he is trolling the rant with an LSU logo but as a longhorn fan

I think you're right, Old Sarge. I ostensibly have misconstrued the nature of the SEC Rant forum.
At least many of the other forums on TigerDroppings are pretty good and free of idiocy. Posters like me should probably just stick around the Recruiting Board and other off-topic forums. SEC Rant appears to be a place where trolls knock themselves out and have a good time- it is usually not a place for information and discussion.
