I was about to say the same thing. He might not own a truck but he's probably a redneck. "I dawnt curr abowt bysketbawl Paawwwwll." Bama could be in the thick of the SEC basketball race in mid February and that element of our fanbase is like "I hayt byskitball Paaawl. Why arnt we talkin abowt football? Are yew gowin too tha A day game Paaawl?" Bama fans appreciate basketball more than all but the most die hard SEC basketball fanbases but that element of our fanbase gives everyone the wrong impression that we could care less about the sport.
P.S. Word of friendly advice to the OP. This isn't Bamamag.com where they remove legitimate basketball topics off the "Bama board". Thos board was the SEC Rant and last time I checked so discussion of SEC basketball is not only allowed but appropriate and it doesn't need to be sequestered away on another board just because you don't like the sport
