For Auburn posters reading this, there is a vote about the idea on the AUburn board. If you care place your vote either way.
If it doesn't work so be it. Status quo works for me but like you said Magilla, there are clear benefits to this as long as it is in moderation (which is why we have mods by definition)

The Alabama board won't have to allow Auburn posters if the Auburn board decides it isn't appropriate to add Alabama posters. I don't think it'd be fair for Alabama posters trying to get access over on the Auburn board. Either way, we tried. I still think it would be positive for both boards.

There still are a few people in support that haven't voted but it looks like it will be struck down. I tried.
This isn't about being given access to the bama board anyways. I actually think our board would benefit from some of the poster's opinions/insights. I usually only go on the Auburn board so it would be a horrible trade for me

Yeah, I'm done talking about it. It is what it is. Hopefully the Auburn fans with access to the Alabama board don't abuse the privilege.

I am not upset about not getting access to the Bama board because I never expected it. I just don't see how our Auburn board is so opposed to a trial that can easily end.

What happens on the Auburn board should have no bearing on what we do on the Alabama board. I, for one, think that there are Auburn posters who are capable of providing a valuable insight on football matters in-state.
I don't view -- and I don't think any of us should view -- the Alabama board as some sort of satellite of TideFans. We know that anyone who clicks the 'Bama board can view its content, even if they can't post.
If there are good posters who can contribute, in my opinion, it shouldn't matter whose flag they fly. It's why we started this whole vote-taking process to allow rival fans in to begin with.
I say we carry on.

I'd also like to add some Auburn posters, regardless of whether they add some Alabama fans. The Auburn board obviously doesn't want us there, and I respect that. I wouldn't want us to intrude. But I do feel our board would benefit with additional AU posters

I agree. If the Auburn board wants to be a closed community, that's fine. We'll weigh the merits of each Auburn poster on a case-by-case basis, as with anyone else.

Alahunter has made it clear, though, that there's not going to be a mass addition of posters. Which essentially means no one else is getting in right now (I assume). I still support your addition

I choose to view Hunter's statement as saying that we'll return to being selective on who gets in and who doesn't.
Let's do things the way we've been doing things, taking votes and what not, and see what happens.

Well apparently I am afraid of being considered an NtY or some other Auburn extremist because I can have a sensible and rational discussion about Sports and life without calling Bama fans Gump, Turd, Bammer, Mullet head etc.

No worries. I don't really offend easy or hold a grudge often. It would be pretty hypocritical of me if I did considering I can be pretty "abrasive" here.
