All caps usernames

I was wondering if all caps usernames are against the rules. There was a poster who had their username in all caps but a few years back they were told by admins to change it. I was noticing a lot of posters with all caps usernames and was wondering if they're not allowed why there's so many posters with them.
Don't want this thread to come across as whining/complaining or me championing for them to get their username back, but I'm just honestly curious

Well, I'm not sure about others and why they do it, but my handle is an acronym for a nickname my friends call me. So, to give it a true representation of me, I use part of it in all caps. I've never had anyone object to it, FWIW.
