We clearly need our own help board.
Here is my suggestion:
whenever someone requests access, make a thread on our board. Either have an individual thread that gets stickied or a mega thread for all applicants. Voting lasts 24 hrs.
At the 24 hr mark, votes are closed and counted. If he makes it, he's in. But the leash is short. No flaming, no bullshite.
A perfect example of this would be Swoop or CNB. Both have access, neither is there to make themselves known.

Well, sorry to break it to you, but you can't have it both ways. This isn't the dawgrant, it's the Georgia affiliated section of Secrant.com. You being good buddies and e-pals with those tech shitheads is no different than DGD, GH, and others being friends with people on the SECR. So what do you want? Your good buddies to be grandrathered into here and ONLY have people you like (which you'd shite a brick about if someone else did the same) or do you want absolutely no one else but UGA fans on here?
Pretty much my thoughts, especially in regards to this Tech exception that Jeff wants. That's garbage.

Post history should be easy to weed out terrible posters. If they come here and clutter the board with non sense we can remove them. Just make a post after a request and have people vote yay/nay. 70pct yay required and if a person has a bad experience they can voice opinion in thread. Done and done

I have never hidden my stance, which is this: I consider the SECR to be unreadable garbage.
There is a dwindling number of GSB board posters that only care to post on the GSB. It is my opinion, that it is this Dying Breed.....AND their influence that helps make the board unique from the others.
And....like it or not, the 3 Tech posters are a part of that.

Who that has been let in has "bogged down conversation with general SECR-esque douchebaggery?" Very few of them actually post enough to do so, and those that do generally discuss relevant topics of conversation in a reasonable manner.
We have an admin now. If anyone gets let in and starts being a douche on the board, they can be removed.

I agree with Jefferson Dawg. Aside from the occasional kitten pic/gif, it is annoying and improper for outsiders to post mindless shite on another team's board.

That's where he has no argument whatsoever: outsiders aren't posting mindless shite. They really don't post much at all. They'll occasionally chime in on topics that are relevant to them but other than that they keep to themselves.
