Where was this defense before? Or is Arch just this bad like TX fans claim he is. Really surprised after they went up 10-0.

A little of both. I think HCJS audited the defense and fixed some things. I think the big story today is QB. A dual threat QB with Baugh is a wonderful thing.

Defense was the biggest thing this game. First time they actually showed up in an SEC game.

Defense won this game. Emergence of 7 has been big. Pass rushers rose to the occasion and DB’s played stickier. Much progress this week.

We could pressure Manning because he isn’t a big threat to run and holds the ball too long. Glad to see all the blitzing

Yep TX fans are right about him so far. Pretty bad back there and they claim because of his name Sark won't bench him. Curious to see how that plays out. Any NFL team that wastes a top 4 rounds pick on him is crazy because it would just be doing it because of his name.

If Sark doesn't bench Arch there is going to be a mutiny. I am hoping our defense really has turned the corner though.

I am speechless that this team got down 14 points and battled back after that horrible first quarter, I thought this was going to get very ugly very fast,
Have to hand it too this staff and team, they played ard and have many injuries they need the bye week to get healed,
LJ finally played like we were hoping he would have all this time,
Its only one game, has the defense turned the corner, ( not sure I hope so) but the jury is out and I hope that is the case
Very good win today and now Texas is finally seeing what a real SEC schedule is really like
Not very many easy games with a 9 game SEC slate
Have to hand it too this staff and team, they played ard and have many injuries they need the bye week to get healed,

Felt the same way. Tramell looked great and the D-line showed up. Anything goes for the rest of the season.
