He's either a liar or he should be fired. Allowing information to leak out about hiring the biggest name available without having the deal agreed to is the surest sign that he's over his head.

Or he's using this as leverage. Could be any number of things -- he's been shamelessly ambiguous for over a week, cheesing it up and having fun.
This is only to try and stave the speculation, but at this point it's directed speculation and most people are already convinced that it's Kelly.
It is possible, however, that the deal fell through -- but if that were the case he should come right out and say ''Kelly is not someone we're interested in'' would stop all speculation and get everyone off his trail.
But that's not the case, because we have absolutely found our HC.

Well he is not playing this right if true. The whole fan base is now expected Chip.
It's all over facebook, every Gator site, etc.
He needs to completely say we are not going after Chip if he isn't.
The plane flights, really good inside sources(not mine)with Tilly and Billy at GC who have always been spot on about under cover news including his fire and the CC scandal. The guy at 24/7 who called the Grier roids, CC scandal, and Mac fired crap over there also claims Kelly is it.
So it's gotten a lot of fire because of the people syaing it's true.
If it isn't. He brings Strong or Taggart or Norvell in here the fan base is already in a "wtf is this bullshite hire" mode.
I would be mad at Taggart or Norvell..Taggart isn't all that great, he recruits well but he is 5-5 at Oregon for Pete's sake and a losing overall record.

I can't find anywhere that Stricklin said this on public channels -- only that the Sun quoted him as saying it. There aren't any concrete links, videos or other media. His Twitter doesn't say anything akin to that.
Smells like bullshite, is bullshite. There's no reason Stricklin wouldn't post this on his own Twitter if it were 100% true.

I just emailed Scott telling him basically, this fan base will blow up if Kelly or Frost aren't the guy if you don't nip this in the butt. Said if you have it as a negotiation chip I understand, but if you are just ignoring it because it doesn't matter...well it does. You need to address it if Kelly isn't coming. Because whoever you hire besides Kelly or Frost will be a disappointment.

Stricklin knows what the fanbase wants. Kelly is the target and they are working through some things. I have faith in his confidence.

He already knows, man. As I said: This website has a citation and the website I followed it up on has none.
This is just another rumor, Stricklin hasn't talked about it (and I actually thought it was bullshite from the very beginning, because he's always been WAY ambiguous and never gave any kind of inkling on a timeline) and this is unofficial.

I saw somewhere that the UAA will fire anyone who leaks without permission.
Stuff is coming out from agents or people on the periphery. I would think the UAA has weeded out all the loose lips.

I feel like they may wait to make an announcement until after the FSU game. Limit distractions for the current team and coaches. And that goes for anybody they hire. Chip or not.

There's one thing I can tell you: No way a gag order is issued unless things are try, finch. 
If they were false, he'd just let them be, but now we know 100% for certain that we were all on the right track.
PS, it will still be before the FSU game -- I know that Stricklin wants Kelly to talk with Corral and the class in that game.

That doesn't make much sense honestly.
Kelly announcement keeps recruits from leaving(who in their right mind leaves with that hire).
Motivates the team this year to pick up play cause now their new coach is watching.
Excited fan base and puts butts in the seats. I bet the stadium is loaded if Kelly is announced before FSU.
