Bunch of 4 stars playing like walk-ons. Except the walk-ons have more heart.

How they are giving up is a complete joke. At least they put the effort in against GA.

I don’t think overall team talent had much to do with tonights game. Defense was absolutely Granthamesque out of nowhere. Guys looked like they were knee deep in syrup out there. They saw Lagway disassociate after one bad play and he just dragged everyone down. Maybe they would have lost regardless, but guys definitely quit.

We are very, very, very bad. Easily the worst UF football team I can remember watching..not even close

Mullen intentionally took NLI from players absolutely no other teams were interested in just to boost his rating. He would have so many never make it to campus. Those that made it usually transferred or never developed.
According to rankings, McElwain was the worst recruiter Florida ever had. But look at the players in his classes, there were a lot of good contributors. Then look at Mullen’s classes. They are rated higher, but half of these people I forgot existed. For every good player there is five total busts.
Mullen’s recruiting ranking was always fools gold and there’s no point to trying to rewrite the book in order to make Napier look worse. Napier for all his faults built a roster with great talent. The pieces just didn’t fit together well, and he couldn’t make gameday decisions.
If you don’t believe me, let’s wait until the transfer portal opens and compare those ratings to Mullen’s recruits when they portaled out. It won’t even be close.

Yep Mullens second class was literally mostly guys other teams passed on because they were either projecting not to qualify or had other issues. A bunch of that class that were blue chippers never even made it to that first season.
Napier didn't have great classes for the SEC but got some gems. I think NIL dictates SEC classes now mostly.

This team doesn’t lack talent, last night it showed that it lacks heart. They flat out quit last night. Whatever the reason, coaching, QB play, business decisions, they are a bunch of quitters. They are an embarrassment to UF, Gator fans, their families and themselves. I hope about 80 of them hit the portal.

I think this a modern disease across college sports. The big money sports just seem to make it more obvious.
:sigh:
