I posted the way I feel about the game and my school. I appreciate the other Gators who commented positively if that's the way you feel. Would we want to have played better today? Yes. In fact I was hoping that the last 3 games were better.

knowledge to make the play or even be in position I feel is on the coaches to prepare them with a game plan and execute it. If they don't then perhaps try someone else. We all make mistakes and just because one blows an assignment doesn't meant bench them for good. Pull them aside and try to understand where the breakdown is.

I feel after today Coach Mullen may and should utilize AR15 more. Not get rid of EJ but if he's a team player then he should accept coming in later in the game just like AR does. The team is greater than the individual. and not pout or whine. jmho.

Defense. GRRR. Mullin shouldn't be afraid to tell Grantham that his Defensive style needs to be modified or changed. What we currently do or the players we have can't execute it. Dumb it down if it's the players.

Not trying to be too long winded and don't want to hear bitching even though it's warranted.

Bad game by the team and I feel more blame goes to the D. Offense needs work also.

Go Gators. Let sneak up on Georgia and steal a win.

Point being I don't blame the kids nor UF.

If AR isn't the starter soon we are probably going to lose him. Jones may be a good team player but his ceiling isn't the same and if one has to hit the portal it should be him imo. I hope Mullen has learned his lesson with Franks/Trask, Grantham and now this when it comes to the hard headed loyalty stuff.

Bbobalou,

But first and foremost they are student athletes first and get a free ride to a great university

These are college adults not kids and if they are making money with nil deals playing football for Florida good for them.

But with that comes the criticism and I'm sorry but your being paid to play now so it comes with the territory. I'm sick of these young "MEN" not kids playing at the university of there choice getting whiny and complaining about things when it doesn't go there way and are ready to hit the portal at a moments notice this is the world of College football now when things don't go well I'll just transfer.

It's the new world of College Football we just have to deal with it.

But coaches can only do so much players have to play and unfortunately Florida had players today that just didn't seem to want to be out there playing today. I'm not taking up for the coaches there is plenty of blame for them to go around all day I have made my complaints with some coaches on this staff.

Don’t just down vote without telling what you think.

I’ll presume you feel it’s not the coaches but the players. I just said I feel it’s the coaches not getting them ready or when they don’t execute they don’t seem to get the kids to correct it or replace them. It’s a damned team sport fellas.

Alb. I addressed that I think. I agree that they should be held to a higher standard now but with that comes preparation. If they have the skills to play in the next level I don’t think teams would put up with that for long. Hang the next man up motto on them and whatever else is necessary to do their part for the team.

I don't downvote here but to me its mostly on the coaches. Grantham should never have been retained and it falls clearly on Mullen also if he ends up losing Richardson and he goes and pulls a Cam Newton at another school. I could even live with him not starting him against GA but having a short leash but if AR isn't starting the next game against that FCS team Mullen will deserve to be canned after next season if we lose him.

Yes I agree but also players have got to play and there was no heart in the defensive line today.

They didn't seem to care at all price could have ran for 500 yards on them today and I don't think they would have cared one bit.

If you want to be a Alpha you have to have that fight in you and I did not see one interior d lineman today that had that in them.

Wasn’t saying you dv’d it. It could have been a non poster. I’m very critical of the coaching. If I were to put a percentage I’d say coaches 75% and players 25%. I saw a couple plays where the player just didn’t seem to give a shite. It’s irritating. They’re giving an incredible opportunity for an education and possibly more.

I just want my school to be the best possible. Maybe I’m bitter with the play today. LSU has good players also.

Yep some players did seem to slacking on defense. I didn't watch that close but a lot of people were saying it was pathetic the technique being used on those pulling plays they were gashing us with and that falls on Grantham I guess.

Mullen needs to figure this out. Losing LSU sucks especially when your a member of this board. Hut its usually two equal teams.

Losing to this LSU team in the manner we did the last two years is almost inexcusable. What would they score be if they had Boutte? Or any of them 15 players they are missing on defense.

FSU and Miami are at their worst point in years. We need to take advantage. And now Tennessee seems to be on and upswing.

At the rate things are going we are staring down the barrel of 7-5 or even 6-6. Major changes need to be made starting at QB. Every road game is losable.

After todays quote, he can go imo. 1 decent game vs an unranked SEC opponent and he’s already pulling the Start me or else bs?
Bye

Our genius media asked a damn RS freshman that question.

And what do you expect? He played his arse off, got us back into the game, then made a freshman mistake.

He even made it pretty clear on Twitter he is a Gator through and through.

If he said it, he’s thinking it. Back stepping on twitter to escape the blowback means nothing imo

In my older age I don’t tie myself to players or coaches. If they leave they leave

Go Gators

Any body have any idea who Mullen brings in as DC.

My guess is if Manny gets Fired being he worked under Mullen twice at moo state that he will be DC.which I'm not sure that's any better then Grantham.

Not sure what other DC Mullen is friends with so not sure who he would look at maybe Charlie Strong.

I have mixed feelings.

I get that these guys may have NIL deals, which makes it easy to be more critical of them. However, bashing them and openly being negative isn’t going to help anything. They don’t show up to the stadium on Saturdays trying to suck on purpose.

But…at the end of the day. If we’re paying someone $7.5 mil or whatever a year, I expect a better product on the field. Either the players aren’t competent, don’t understand the schemes, just aren’t good enough to execute, or the game plan sucks - all of our problems ultimately fall on coaching.

Adapt or die.

Dan was asked if there was a scenario in which he would make a change in defense during the season and he said no. So we’re stuck with him at least through our bowl game.

He also said the word “evaluate” about 700 times during his presser which became tiresome.

I'm guessing I'm probably the only person on this subforum with experience as an adult with CFB players at Florida and other SEC schools.

They are kids. If you really think they are anything close to mature adults, like even in the same solar system, have fun with that. Most of them are good kids and fun to be around, but they are kids.

Sorry Lucia's

I completely disagree these are not kids. I'm not saying they are Mature adults and I'm sure most of them are really good guys. I'm not sure where you act like I said they are all scum or whatever you are insinuating that I never said.

But anyway past that they are definitely not kids. Most of these guys are in there early 20's so not kids!!!

If he leaves I highly doubt Mullen is here after 2022. We will see if Mullen is still stuck with his loyalty stuff at QB. It took an injury intervening last time to wake him up but if AR isn't starting @ SC he is probably going to bolt. I am actually glad he was asked the question to shed some light on his thinking as many people were assuming him being local would make him willing to sit on the bench mostly another year.
