So we only get him for this season?

Also, how come the OL can block all of a sudden?

Against a gassed defense.

So Trask breaks Franks' career best passing in his first start by the beginning of the fourth.

It appears one, SDAR knew something.

That drop by Copeland, though, probably cost him the 300 yard game that I was hoping he would have. Tough luck.

You definitely won this round.

Though our run-blocking really is shite regardless of who is back there.

Having a competent passing attack makes it benign. Trask is, definitively, a better passer than Franks. Dan Mullen just needs to tune his playbook a little bit, but it doesn't have to be so different.

We have a passing threat at every level of the defense. We know that pressure is Trask's bane (like most Quarterbacks). We know we're not getting push at the line.

We have to adjust the offense and not be stubborn.

I'm starting to get this feeling that Mullen really, really doesn't like Trask.

Let your 2* get his 300 yard game.

I wouldn't say that, he's thrown 27 passes. He said he'd let both guys get reps, this is the perfect scenario to get EJ some quality time on the field

Yea the run game at the end was more Tenn was tired. Still have to work on it BUT we did not take many TFL I believe. So at least that improved.

Naw. I think he knows Jones could always transfer out, and that would be very bad for us. So he needs to give him real time in the game. You could see towards the end when we kicked the field goal Jones looked a little frustrated.

We have to play it smart. Transfer portal makes any back up situation scary at QB.

Trask will very likely start next year barring some really bizarre Jekyll and Hyde type of deal.

It'd be quite a story to have a 2* make his debut with a 300 yard game for his debut. 300 just looks better.

True. We shall see. Next year will be odd with three QBs wanting play time. Almost hope Franks decides to transfer. Certainly over Jones. Trask gets a year to prove himself doing darn well so far

Eraserhead will have will for sale signs placed in his front yard today....hillbillies are sick of losing.

Very very doubtful that Franks transfers and if you understood him you would know he loves UF. He can get a medical redshirt and have two more years to play. No one can predict the future.

Trask played very well, but UT is a mess and the 4th qt against UK was against a secondary already inexperienced losing 2 players. I hope Trask answers the bell against AU and I think he will. Our defense is what will keep us in every game...we need Zuniga and CJ back....but Elam,Bogle and Burroughs both got valuable snaps for the future. Moon has played a lot of snaps replacing Zuniga and is now getting his chance...has good motor.

I think it depends on how things shake out. if Trask shits the bed and Emory struggles, no doubt he stays. But if Trask plays at upper tier level going forward and EJ gets his reps in along the way, I feel Franks may see the writing on the wall and leave

Trask threw for more yards in his first game than Franks did in any game -- FCS or FBS.

I think most fans might lynch Dan Mullen if he somehow found a way to start Franks over Trask next year. No way does Franks stay to be a backup.

But, putting my agent hat on.

I'd be telling Franks right here, right now: Bro, you have a future in baseball. You were already drafted, you'll get money, you'll retire early and have a long, successful life.

Oh, and your foot won't be on backwards unless some freak accident happens.
