Well, took a sack on the prior play. Probably felt he had to push that one in trying to make a play to make up for it. Learning experience

I would’ve put Jones in on the drive. Give him the short field.

Bad pass, but okay time to get an INT. Incompletion is a super long kick or a punt.
Gonna have to fix up those passes vs. Georgia, Auburn and LSU.
Like I said, it was gonna happen, and this is the perfect game for it to happen.

Let's see how he bounces back
Posted on 9/21/19 at 1:32 pm to StrawsDrawnAtRandom
He hasn’t played in 7 years, so he’s gonna make mistakes. But it’s been way more good than bad.

I dont know how you can teach it, but Trask has no idea what is going on outside of his vision. He isn’t sensing the pressure. Mullen better get that point across to him or Trask is going to get creamed by blitzes starting in 2 weeks.

Yeah, definitely something to learn from. Not the first time I've seen a QB try to force something that he shouldn't after seemingly hitting everything all day.
If we just had a minimal running, we'd be OK. I still think we're a year or two away without some pure luck rolling our way due to depth. You still have that feeling that every time someone on D goes out that we're in trouble at that spot, but we could be a real thorn in some people's arse if we had just a mediocre run game.

That could’ve been caught.

Good play by the defense. Pass was there

Just bad luck to have a tipped ball land in the lap of a DB, probably shouldn't have been passed but it's all a learning experience.
I feel good with Trask for now.

Defense had that shite for a loss

Trask playing good, needs to quit throwing into double coverage
Posted on 9/21/19 at 1:43 pm to UFMatt
I feel like Mullen wants to work the 20+ yard range for passes because Trask is money 15 yards and below. But right now we just need to start throwing it shorter -- not LOS short, but slants and drags have been working pretty well, too.

I'm OK with him taking shots. You're right, he needs reps so he can learn.
But I agree we should probably keep it mid-range.
