Interested in seeing this brand new team. Curious to see how Buster implements his offense. I know he runs a pro style offense which may discourage some but he definitely leans on air raid schemes. So yeah it's not the spread that we all fell in love with during Mullen's time with us. But I'm willing to give it a chance.

Expect to see a lot more downfield passing concepts (if our QB is accurate) and timing patterns (if safeties aren't creeping in). His run game is more based on zone which will help given we have an inexperienced O-line but he prefers more of a physical gap scheme (Baugh has only seen this) but I'll expect to see more of that towards the last 3-4 games of the season. For anyone that loves counters, you're gonna love the run game. I love counters. It'll be new for Baugh and he's expected to be involved in the passing game which I'm pumped for. Anyone remember that 2020 UGA game and the wheel routes? Kirby and his defense aren't that tough to beat if you're creative.

Yeah the typical RPO stuff and uses motion quite a bit. But it has to be used effectively to identify what opposing defenses are in what coverage. Not that Napier trash we saw. Also don't like that fact he uses multiple TE sets because we don't have the personnel for it. Amir Jackson is the only one I'm a fan of and recruiting doesn't look any better. Unless he opts for the more traditional use of TEs as blockers and check downs. We will finally see 4 WR sets and there's a heavy emphasis of it considering we have 2 WR coaches.

Regardless of all this, Buster has the ability to adapt to his player's strengths and weaknesses which is all that we ask for as fans. I was going to talk about Brad's defense but this post is kinda long. My bad. I'm just pumped to watch some Gator football.

Quick Summary: The offense will be fun and creative

I think it will be a big change from Napier that is for sure. Hard to say about Philo but the one thing on his tape that stuck out is he is pretty good under pressure and that included when he played about half the snaps against Miami as a freshman in 24 against those pass rushers that destroyed us that season. As far as FAU it's a nice tuneup for playing those fast offenses like Auburn has now. They can pass the ball around and that QB averaged over 300 yards a game including 375 against Tulane last season. Their QB averages 2 picks a game on the road though and that is likely why he wasn't offered a million bucks to go to a power 4 team this season. It's good prep for our rushers and the secondary. I think their defense isn't expected to be that good this season even for G6.

Are we even considering going after a tackle that was just cut considering our situation. If a good one is available it would be crazy not to if it can legally be done.

Having the or's at DE is a good sign as it probably means Oyebadejo is up to speed.

Curious how the Ugorji and Jones situation at RT goes. A podcaster said before the coach announced Ugorji was starting that Jones got on the bad side of the coaches. I wonder if Ugorji is actually better than him right now considering we have 2 games before Auburn.

The or with Cormani is probably due to them being frustrated he takes too many chances trying to get interceptions.

Kent on the 2 deep at tight end is exciting even if it is at least partially because of injury.

I hope the new regime realizes we have one of the best RBs in the game and uses him to his full potential.

I see we are # 12 on the talent composite index. Only GA and TX are ahead of us from our schedule this year. The other SEC teams ahead of us are on next year's rotation. It doesnt take into effect transfers who outplayed their high school rankings though. I do think if the tackle situation isn't a disaster we have the players to be very competitive with good coaching.

Rod and Caden should definitely be a part of the OL rotation if we struggle to run or pass block. Mbatchou might breakout this season. Secondary might be tested which might limit our pass rush. LBs will be pressed since interior d-line isn't up to par like we used to have in the past.

Just gotta hope for a healthy season. Depth is lacking so I'm expecting Sumrall to be very aggressive in the portal by January.

I'm sure they do but it's up to the O-line to block for him.

Look at our overall talent index and it's ranked #18 which makes more sense since it involves transfers. Add the other SEC teams ahead of us that we play this year such as Ole Miss, South Carolina, Oklahoma. Weirdly FSU lol but they suck.

By the Auburn game, we'll know what kind of team we have. Every game after that it gets tougher and eases up in the last 3 games.

Bett in the few times you could see him a little in the scrimmages looked like he was doing his job in the middle there. Curious to see what our DEs look like.

The spitter from the USF game last season?

It's a wait and see for me. Confident in our rush ends.

Nah it should be 50-50 run-pass. Teams will just stack the box. It'll make Philo look like a bitch out there. We can't have that.

Yep the same guy. Couldn't see it too well but it looked like he had some good push in the middle there. I bet Woods at Jack and the DEs are able to create some pressure. With the DEs they have to show its not just talk though.

Any thoughts on the Star. That has me a little worried even though they are talking like Clark is alright there.
