He should 100% go to Washington State if they have the opportunity for him. He would kill it in an Air Raid offense mostly because it's what he needs to work on the most. The concepts are easier to grasp and really his biggest problem is reading the defense.

I can think of no better partnership than Feleipe Franks and The Pirate to get him ready for the NFL in a year.

I wonder if we take another QB now since we also lost Jalon Jones or just stick with 3.

Competition breeds success but go after a HS kid.

At least we don't have to worry about some BS QB competition in the spring and fall now.

Krull is leaving too? He would’ve been a good blocking TE. I wanna say he had good hands too.

Even if Franks legitimately won the competition I think everyone would seriously doubt the staff. This was lose-lose for Franks.

Yeah, but honestly, I'm not sure if I trusted Mullen not to do something cute had Franks stayed.

Now it's not anything we have to worry about.

I wish Franks the best.

Well I'm sure Mullen most certainly talked to him but the writing's been on the wall for a while. The receivers that we constantly see open all over the field are being hit. A lot of people don't want to believe this but: Del Rio might have killed it with Dan Mullen if he hadn't broken so many bones.

That being said: This is good news for Franks more than anything. I said that the way Franks ran he would eventually get hurt (his pad level was very high) but he should transfer to a program where he isn't relied on to run so much.

Staying at Florida actually hinders him because he has to work on passing more than anything and at Florida he would be forced to run it up the middle. Even with Trask's bum knee Mullen runs him right at the line.

I think it might also be good for him to reunite with McElwain, even, and the two can go on a comeback tour.

Is anyone surprised? Wish him well as long as he doesn't transfer to anyone that we play!

This is not a surprise. Jones is the one that will be interesting . We should recruit a pro style QB if Trask is the starter next year. If he goings down we will have to change the offense in the middle of the year with out another pro style QB on the roster. Plus the fans seem to like the offense we are running now . Jones should transfer too. None of the fans want this 2 QB system we are running. It also opens up another roster spot for a Possible QB of the future.

Personally I'd just let Jones run the same offense Trask is running right now. Pass happy, but let him have the chance to scramble, too.

Running him at the line is retarded if we don't have people to back him up.

And yes, I like the offense that produces three different games with over 300 yards, the first QB since Rex to throw for 300 yards at Death Valley, a QB who broke Chris Leak's consecutive completion record. Top 12 in Total QBR. Top 12 in QBR if you dislike that metric. A QB who has thrown multiple touchdowns in every single game he has started.

Jones should stay, sharpen up his passing game and prepare for his Heisman run in 2021. If he can pass like Trask and run better than Franks we will be unstoppable on offense.
