Great news....but again...this kid isnt 220 lbs and at 6'5" he is no more than 205 probably closer to 200 lbs.

He is going to have to eat a lot of food between now and August to be able to play....but thats ok....he redshirts and in 2017 will be ready to go. He has the same problem Grier had when he signed....talented but skinny. Forget the crap about back problems...Grier r/s ed because he needed to hit weights and training table.

McElwain may be forced to play Franks early on if none of the other QBs can take snaps....I hope not if he isnt ready.

Can't we celebrate for 5 mins without you pouring cold water on it? Especially after watching that shite last night.

UF officially listed Grier as 203 this season.

If Franks is 200 already, he should have no problems getting his body ready for camp.

Can he throw the ball 10 yards down the field, with any accuracy. If so he is the starter.

Franks and Trask are BOTH 6'6".

Tallest QBs I can remember UF getting.

Have you looked at clips or pics of this kid? He is a tall glass of water....Yes...Grier was 200 THIS year and last year he was skinny...thats all Im saying. Grier is no where near 6'5"

I have watched video of Franks and he is an amazing talent and actually reminds me of Grier a lot. He has that quick release and makes QUICK decisions like Grier, but maybe faster believe it or not. He also stands out when lining up on the field because of his height and in most games he was probably tallest player on the field.

Even with the God given talent he has...I know there is a big difference between high school and college and a lot of folks want to annoint recruits before their first snap. Im also excited about the OL we just got committed who had been a Cane since August and we flipped him. He is going to be a guard at 350 lbs....and Im excited by the committment of the JUCO WR. We will get ours in the coming months and recruits need to get with the program before the inn is full.

Actually Jacob Guy is 6'5 also. I mean watching video of Franks he is a tall dude....but has to put on weight....when does the NCAA come around again?
BTW I just read some pro player was tested positive for PED and he claims it was energy drinks? There so much crap out there now on the market with energy drinks its feasible?

You almost owed me for a new monitor after drinking hot tea and reading the above...unfortunately they would have to peel Franks off the turf in Hotlanta after Bama hit him a few times.

He has the quickest release Ive seen in some time...its amazing...1/2 second snap decisions and I think being so tall really helps him do that. He needs 6 milkshakes a day and a ton of potatoes to start getting ready. I cant stand another game with # 3 or my liver will be a science project.

Ive watched video of Eason and he is a great player....but doesnt have the snap decision making process that Franks has and his release is just a little slower....a lot has to do with his running ability...he has better feet than Franks and can run...but a lot of passes are rollout throws. To have both of these two in camp would be awesome...wow.

I know the high school competition in Crawfordville is pretty good but not familiar with the classfication Wakulla is in. Easons high school competition?

Maybe I have been ruined on Jeff Demps and Tim Tebow, but none of these videos are very impressive to me anymore. Happy to get the top recruits though.

It is gonna be interesting with Eason. Don't forget Haskin's as well. He had a great visit this weekend. Some are saying Franks committed because he knew if he didn't one of the others might and he might not have a spot.
