Trask has nothing going tonight. He’s soiling the great year he had. Losing draft stock.
Meanwhile Emory is being forced to sit instead of build for next year. Mullen.. man

I said the young corps would hurt Trask, Emory plays more with those guys in practice

Emory's legs help these young receivers open. In this game with these circumstances Emory gives us the best chance to win.

His receivers all opted out, trask should have done the same and got ready for draft. The team has NOTHING going when he is in. This game should have been and Emory V’s rattler battle would have been so much more interesting. He fricked his draft stock up tonight. Let’s run him up the middle twice in a row that will help.

It's not bashing Trask, but the threat of Emory running helps the receivers get open, which they can't do on their own.

No one bashing Kyle, just saying he doesn’t throw to these guys much so the timing is off.

I don’t blame it on timing. I blame it on the 2nd strings inability to catch the ball. How many drops did we actually have?

9 I think

That said Trask did have some passes that were in Pitts radius and not Zipps

Well if Trask is gone and Emory is starting..we will be lucky to be 7-4 next year. Emory just cant throw and he still throws too many bullet clothes line balls. We will be like UK with Terry Wilson at QB....Jones is good runner but he cant lead long drives. The punter needs to kept his leg warmed up.

On the surface that is the apparent way to go. But there are a couple of reasons why Emory was not in the entire game.

-Aside from the first touchdown drive, his other efforts looked pedestrian at best and not being able to complete a forward pass would have allowed UO to shut him down completely.

-Mullen is loyal to his upperclassmen(to a fault sometimes)and in this instance I'm OK with it. How would it look to Trask getting benched in this meaningless game for his one poor performance as a starter. Performance that was not entirely his fault.

Trask said in the post game presser that he hadnt decided whether he would return or not. Mullen sounded foolish in his presser insinuating that Trask would be gone. Trask said he will talk to his family and coaches and then decide...but he also said the game "was not how you want to go out" Jones was seated right next to him and I bet he cringed inside when Trask said he hadn't decided yet.

And Bengal you are right about the poor performance was not entirely his fault. One pick was off a deflection by Gamble's plywood hands and the other two maybe the result of a young wr not being at the right spot. Picks aren't always the fault of a QB.

For whatever reason, I never got the impression that Mullen actually liked Trask, not like he liked Franks. He'd dance on the sideline, glow about Franks, everything is fine.

With Trask he just seemed ready for the guy to go and for what?

So Emory could look like dogshit pretty much all game? I know you guys (not reel specifically, but this board) all wanted to see Emory, but he is not the answer. Richardson, on the other hand, hoo boy. That's the guy I want to see out there.

Did you see him take the soul out of that Oklahoma DB? Ain't no one wanna try and tackle him.

Anyway, Mullen is mismanaging the QB room pretty terribly, and I have a feeling Trask wanted to come back and Mullen was pretty much ready to part ways.

We're gonna suffer for that decision in 2021.

Had all his teammates played, and I use the term loosely since several didn’t care about the team, Trask would have been fine. Selfishness is a bad culture in any team. There is no I in team. Sorry, old school but players should finish the season they committed to play when accepting a scholarship

I doubt Trask wanted to come back. He seems like the kind of guy who would have viewed that as unfair to Emory.

Even if he did, another season would've only hurt him with new targets ect.

I wish him the best, next yr will be rough imo
